Customs resume procedures at Abu Samra port on the border with Saudi Arabia

Doha: The General Customs Authority has resumed its procedures for receiving travelers to and from the country.

The Authority said in a tweet on its Twitter account attached to pictures that the General Authority of Customs began its work in re-operating Abu Samra border crossing, in accordance with the procedures of opening the air, land and sea borders between The State of Qatar and the sister State of Saudi Arabia

The Authority added that: “The Land Customs Administration resumes its customs procedures for receiving travelers to and from the country, in coordination with its partners from government agencies operating at Abu Samra border crossing.”

The Government Communications Office announced in a statement published today that in accordance with the procedures for opening the air, land and sea borders between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and in accordance with the policy of travel and return to The State of Qatar in force under the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), it was decided to apply a number of precautionary measures to all arrivals through the Abu Samra border crossing as of Saturday, January 9, 2021, according to the following: :

All those arriving in Qatar through the Abu Samra border crossing are required to conduct a test of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and obtain a virus-free certificate no more than 72 hours prior to travel.

All arrivals will be subject to a hotel quarantine for a week, with hotel accommodation booked via the Discover Qatar website before arriving in Qatar, and travellers from Qatar through the Abu Samra border crossing must make a hotel quarantine reservation for the date of return before they leave the country.

All arrivals must sign an official commitment to the hotel quarantine with a quarantine policy and conditions, as well as download the “EHTERAZ” application for tracking the transitional chains of the coronavirus.

These measures are subject to change in accordance with the developments of the epidemic situation in the country and around the world.

الدوحة: استأنفت الهيئة العامة للجمارك اجراءاتها الجمركية الخاصة باستقبال المسافرين من وإلى الدولة اجراءاتها الجمركية الخاصة باستقبال المسافرين من وإلى الدولة.

وقالت الهيئة في تغريدة على حسابها بموقع تويتر أرفقتها بالصور إن الهيئة العامة للجمارك بدأت مباشرة أعمالها، بإعادة العمل بمنفذ ابو سمرة الحدودي وذلك وفقاً لإجراءات فتح الحدود الجوية والبرية والبحرية بين دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة.

وأضافت الهيئة أن :” إدارة الجمارك البرية تستأنف اجراءاتها الجمركية الخاصة باستقبال المسافرين من وإلى الدولة ، وذلك بالتنسيق مع شركائها من الجهات الحكومية العاملة بمنفذ ابو سمرة الحدودي”.

وكان مكتب الاتصال الحكومي قد اعلن في بيان نشره اليوم أنه وفقاً لإجراءات فتح الحدود الجوية والبرية والبحرية بين دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة، وبناءً على سياسة السفر والعودة إلى دولة قطر المعمول بها في ظل جائحة فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-١٩)، فقد تقرر تطبيق عدد من الإجراءات الاحترازية على جميع القادمين عبر منفذ أبو سمرة الحدودي اعتباراً من يوم السبت الموافق ٩ يناير ٢٠٢١ وذلك وفقاً لما يلي:

يلزم جميع القادمين إلى دولة قطر عبر منفذ أبو سمرة الحدودي بإجراء فحص الكشف عن فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-١٩) والحصول على شهادة الخلو من الفيروس قبل السفر بمدة لا تزيد عن ٧٢ ساعة.

سيخضع جميع القادمين لحجر فندقي لمدة أسبوع على أن يتم حجز الإقامة بالفندق عبر الموقع الالكتروني لـ “اكتشف قطر“ قبل الوصول إلى دولة قطر، كما يجب على المسافرين من دولة قطر عبر منفذ أبو سمرة الحدودي إجراء حجز لحجر فندقي بتاريخ العودة قبل مغادرتهم للبلاد.

‏‎على جميع القادمين التوقيع على تعهد رسمي بالالتزام بالحجر الفندقي مع اتباع سياسة وشروط الحجر الصحي، إضافة إلى تحميل تطبيق “احتراز” المعني بتتبع السلاسل الانتقالية لفيروس كورونا.

علماً بأن هذه الإجراءات خاضعة للتغيير بحسب تطورات وضع الوباء في الدولة وحول العالم.
