Doha: Trade, transportation, opening the air, land and sea borders, and family reunification will be the most prominent scenes that the citizens of the Gulf Council states and many Egyptians will experience after signing the Gulf reconciliation at Al Ula summit, and ending the crisis that affected the residents of the GCC countries for four continuous years, to return with it a number of things to normal, as they were before the crisis.
With the Gulf reconciliation, Qatar Airways flew again in the Saudi and Egyptian airspace, after four years of crisis and depriving it from using that airspace.
1- Opening skies and crossings between Qatar and the three countries
Qatar Airways is expected to return to fly in the airspace of the Emirates and Bahrain, in accordance with the Gulf reconciliation agreement, and the UAE announced that it will open all border crossings with Qatar on Saturday January 9th, including land, sea and air entry points, that trade and movement between the State of Qatar and the countries of the Gulf crisis will return within a week of signing the reconciliation agreement.
2 – Doha – Cairo line
Arab media revealed that Egypt would open airspace to Qatari planes, similar to Saudi Arabia, and that Egypt did not object to the re-operation of airlines with Qatar and the decision is under consideration, and the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas quoted Saudi media as saying that Cairo had agreed in principle to return flights with Doha.
However, this information is still press reports that have not been confirmed by official sources in Cairo or Doha until now, while many observers believe that the coming days may witness the actual opening of airspace in front of the planes of the two countries, which will make it easier for travelers who had to stop at (transit) stations and reduce the cost of travel for everyone.
The arrival of His Excellency Mr. Ali Shareef Al-Emadi, Minister of Finance, to Cairo, heading a private plane delegation from Doha through Saudi airspace on a visit to Egypt, is a positive sign of the opening of the Doha-Cairo, Cairo-Doha route, as the aim of the Minister of Finance’s visit was to open the St. Regis Hotel The country financed, which cost amounts to one and a half billion dollars, thus opening the door to a number of Qatari investments in Egypt during the next stage.
3- Families are waiting
Perhaps one of the most important files awaiting many families in the State of Qatar and its three neighbors, is the reunification of families with the announcement of the return of Gulf relations, especially with easy travel and border opening.
Saudi government agencies began work at the Salwa border crossing with Qatar, where occupancy reached 90%, on Thursday, January 7th.
Passport, customs, and health personnel at the port began practicing their work at the port, which was closed since June 5th, 2017, due to the Gulf crisis, in preparation for the entry of families and residents of the two countries.
4- Return of the students
The Qatari Human Rights Committee, in turn, considered the Gulf reconciliation to be “an essential step in the right direction towards solving the Gulf crisis, and the overall lifting of the measures resulting from it.”
During a statement, Thursday, January 7th, the Qatari Committee reminded all parties of their responsibilities towards addressing the implications of the restrictions imposed by the crisis, especially in the field of individual and group rights, which contributes to supporting the aspirations of the Gulf peoples towards stability, peace and respect for human rights.
Accordingly, Qatari students who were prevented from completing their studies at the universities of the three Gulf countries should return to their academic places, and complete what they missed due to the years of the crisis.

1- فتح الأجواء والمعابر بين قطر والدول الثلاثة
وينتظر أن تعود الخطوط القطرية للتحليق أيضاء في أجواء الإمارات والبحرين، وفقاً لاتفاق المصالحة الخليجية، كما أعلنت الإمارات أنها ستفتح جميع المنافذ الحدودية مع قطر يوم السبت (9 يناير)، وتشمل المنافذ البرية والبحرية والجوية، بأن حركة التجارة والتنقّل بين دولة قطر ودول الأزمة الخليجية ستعود خلال أسبوع من التوقيع على اتفاق المصالحة.
2 – خط الدوحة – القاهرة
وكشفت وسائل إعلام عربية بأن مصر ستفتح المجال الجوي للطائرات القطرية على غرار السعودية، وأن مصر لا تمانع من إعادة تشغيل خطوط الطيران مع قطر والقرار محل الدراسة، ونقلت صحيفة القبس الكويتية عن وسائل إعلام سعودية إن القاهرة وافقت مبدئيا على عودة الطيران مع الدوحة.
إلا أن هذه المعلومات مازالت تقارير صحفية لم تؤكدها مصادر رسمية في القاهرة أو الدوحة إلى الآن، بينما يرى كثير من المراقبين بأن الأيام القادمة ربما تشهد فعلياً فتح الأجواء أمام طائرات البلدين الأمر الذي سيسهل على المسافرين مشقة محطات الوقوف (الترانزيت) وتخفيض تكلفة السفر على الجميع.
ويعتبر وصول سعادة السيد علي شريف العمادي وزير المالية إلى القاهرة، قادما على رأس وفد بطائرة خاصة من الدوحة عبر الأجواء السعودية في زيارة لمصر بادرة إجابية على فتح خط الدوحة-القاهرة، القاهرة – الدوحة، حيث كان الهدف من زيارة وزير المالية افتتاح فندق سانت ريجيس الممول قطرياً والذي تبلغ تكلفته المليار ونصف المليار دولار، ليفتح الباب بذلك أمام جملة من الاستثمارات القطرية في مصر خلال المرحلة القادمة.
3- العائلات تنتظر
ولعل من أهم الملفات التي تنتظرها العديد من العائلات في دولة قطر وجيرانها الثلاث، هو لم شمل العائلات مع إعلان عودة العلاقات الخليجية ، خاصة مع سهولة السفر وفتح الحدود.
وباشرت الجهات الحكومية السعودية، (الخميس 7 يناير) العمل في منفذ سلوى الحدودي مع قطر، حيب بلغت نسبة التشغيل 90%
وبدأ موظفو الجوازات والجمارك والصحة في المنفذ ممارسة أعمالهم في المنفذ الذي كان مغلقاً منذ 5 يونيو 2017، بسبب الأزمة الخليجية، تمهيداً لدخول العائلات، وسكان البلدين.
4- عودة الطلاب
اللجنة القطرية لحقوق الإنسان، بدورها، اعتبرت المصالحة الخليجية بأنها “خطوة أساسية في الاتجاه الصحيح نحو حل الأزمة الخليجية، والرفع الكلي للتدابير الناجمة عنها”.
وخلال بيان لها، الخميس 7 يناير، ذكّرت اللجنة القطرية كافة الأطراف بمسؤولياتهم نحو معالجة الآثار المترتبة عن القيود التي فرضتها الأزمة، وبخاصة في مجال حقوق الأفراد والجماعات، مما يساهم في دعم تطلعات الشعوب الخليجية نحو الاستقرار والسلم واحترام حقوق الإنسان”.
وعليه من المفترض عودة الطلبة القطريين الذين حرموا من إكمال دراستهم في جامعات دول الخليج الثلاث إلى مقاعدهم الدراسية، وإكمال ما فاتهم بسبب سنوات الأزمة.
