Saudi media reveal procedures for entry of Qataris from Salwa border crossing

Doha: The Ministry of Health is continuing its efforts to equip the Salwa border crossing with Qatar to begin receiving Qataris travelling to Saudi Arabia, the Saudi News Channel “Alekhbariya” reported.

The channel highlighted the ministry’s measures to equip the border crossing, which did not differ from the procedures generally taken with those wishing to enter the Kingdom. Al-ekhbariya revealed that Qataris wishing to enter the Kingdom will have to bring a PCR certificate proving its holder to be coronavirus – free, as well as Qataris who have visited countries that have seen the emergence of the virus-muted strain, such as Britain and South Africa, will have to stay in isolation for two weeks inside their country before coming to the Kingdom, explaining that they are procedures for all those coming from the kingdom’s ports.

It explained that quarantine within the Kingdom from 3 days to 7 days, and the written commitment is made due to fears of infection from passport officials or others. For its part, the Saudi newspaper “Al-Watan” revealed that the various government agencies in the city of Salwa, of Al Udayd province (160 kilometers from the city of Hofuf), continue its intensive preparations, in conjunction with the reception of the entry of Qatari brothers through the border crossing, during the next few hours, all relevant government agencies confirmed to provide their services, and provide all facilities when entering and exiting customs procedures and passports.

Rest sites

According to the newspaper, the municipality of Salwa and the branch of the Ministry of the Eastern Region are working on the preparation of roads and internal and highway streets and providing all safety means to receive the heavy traffic expected on them, and remove the scattered sand in some locations, in addition to working to follow up on the preparation to secure rest sites in stations along the road.

Adding equipment

Salwa Hospital has begun to add some medical services and equipment in the hospital, specifically the ambulance and emergency department, as the hospital services are focused on emergencies resulting from traffic accidents, and the international gulf road is expected to see more traffic, in addition to working to provide a medical team inside the port to follow up the health procedures for corona tests, as is the case at other border crossings, in addition to providing therapeutic services to travelers wishing to receive it, in addition to increasing the ambulance teams of the hospital and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.

All customs clearance offices are expected to be opened at the port, According to the newspaper, the daily average of the total number of trucks passing through the port exceeds 600 trucks loaded with various goods, including more than 400 food trucks. The newspaper said that the markets and points of sale in The Center of Salwa continue to work on the provision of all goods, with a reduction of up to 25% for many consumer goods, clothing and luxuries, as it is the first stop for many Qataris to purchase their needs from Saudi Arabia.

الدوحة: ذكرت قناة “الإخبارية” السعودية أن وزارة الصحة تواصل جهودها لتجهيز منفذ سلوى الحدودي مع قطر لبدء استقبال القطريين المسافرين إلى الأراضي السعودية.

وسلطت القناة الضوء على الإجراءات التي اتخذتها الوزارة لتجهيز المنفذ الحدودي، والتي لم تختلف عن الإجراءات المتبعة بشكل عام مع الراغبين في الدخول إلى المملكة.

وكشفت “الإخبارية” عن أنه سوف يتوجب على القطريين الراغبين في دخول المملكة إحضار شهاد PCR تثبت خلو صاحبها من فيروس كورونا المستجد، كما سيتوجب على القطريين الذين زاروا البلدان التي شهدت ظهور السلالة المتحورة من الفيروس، مثل بريطانيا وجنوب إفريقيا البقاء في فترة عزل لمدة أسبوعين داخل بلادهم قبل القدوم للمملكة، موضحة أنها إجراءات متبعة لجميع القادمين من منافذ المملكة .

وأوضحت أن الحجر الصحي داخل المملكة من 3 أيام إلى 7 أيام ، ويتم التعهد الكتابي بذلك نظراً لمخاوف من العدوى من موظفي الجوازات أو غيرهم .

من جانبها، كشفت صحيفة “الوطن” السعودية عن أن الأجهزة الحكومية المختلفة في مدينة سلوى التابعة لمحافظة العديد (160 كيلومترا من مدينة الهفوف)، تواصل استعداداتها المكثفة، بالتزامن مع استقبال دخول الأشقاء القطريين عبر المنفذ الحدودي، خلال الساعات القليلة المقبلة، من خلال تأكيد كافة الجهات الحكومية ذات العلاقة على تقديم خدماتها، وتقديم كافة التسهيلات عند الدخول والخروج من إجراءات جمركية وجوازات.

مواقع للراحة

ووفق الصحيفة، تعمل بلدية سلوى، وفرع وزارة المنطقة الشرقية في أعمال تهيئة الطرقات والشوارع الداخلية والسريعة وتوفير كافة وسائل السلامة لاستقبال الحركة المرورية الكثيفة المتوقعة عليها، وإزاحة الرمال المتناثرة في بعض المواقع، بجانب العمل على متابعة الاستعداد لتأمين مواقع للراحة في المحطات على امتداد الطريق.

إضافة تجهيزات

وشرع مستشفى سلوى، في إضافة بعض الخدمات والتجهيزات الطبية في المستشفى، وتحديداً قسم الإسعاف والطوارئ، إذ أن خدمات المستشفى تتركز على حالات الطوارئ الناتجة عن حوادث السير مرورياً، ومن المتوقع أن يشهد طريق «الخليج الدولي»، المزيد من الحركة المرورية، إلى جانب العمل على توفير فريق طبي داخل المنفذ لمتابعة الإجراءات الصحية الخاصة بفحوصات كورونا، أسوة بما هو متبع في المنافذ الحدودية الأخرى، إلى جانب تقديم الخدمات العلاجية للمسافرين الراغبين، بجانب زيادة الفرق الإسعافية التابعة للمستشفى، وهيئة الهلال السعودي.

ويتوقع فتح جميع مكاتب التخليص الجمركي في المنفذ – بحسب الصحيفة – أن المعدل اليومي لإجمالي الشاحنات التي تعبر المنفذ تتجاوز الـ 600 شاحنة محملة بالبضائع المتنوعة، بينها أكثر من 400 شاحنة مواد غذائية.

وذكرت الصحيفة أن الأسواق ونقاط البيع في مركز سلوى تواصل العمل على توفير كافة البضائع، بتخفيض يصل إلى 25% للكثير من السلع الاستهلاكية والملابس والكماليات، إذ إنها تعتبر المحطة الأولى للكثير من القطريين في شراء احتياجاتهم من السعودية.
