Qatar National Tourism Council announces calendar of events for 2021

Doha: Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) has announced the upcoming events for 2021 through its online platform, Qatar Calendar.
As part of its efforts to develop and diversify the country’s annual calendar of events, Qatar Calendar unifies and coordinates efforts with QNTC’s partners from across the public and private sectors, allowing them to leverage major sporting competitions, entertainment festivals, exhibitions, and conferences. All this helps to support the local economy, highlights Qatar’s homegrown talent, and underlines major developments in the country’s tourism infrastructure.
Secretary General of Qatar National Tourism Council and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, H E Akbar Al Baker, said: “Offering a streamlined platform for events taking place across the country, Qatar Calendar enables QNTC and our stakeholders across the public and private sectors to showcase our varied offerings both domestically and internationally. Coordinated efforts with our partners, complemented by the advanced infrastructure and the easy access to the country, will contribute to building the country’s reputation as a major destination for international events.”
Qatar Calendar will serve as an official digital platform for visitors and residents to find out about events being held in Qatar. Its capacity to build awareness of events and facilitate planning and booking will play an important role in promoting Qatar to all interests and tastes.
Next year, Qatar will host major international sporting events such as FIFA Club World Cup, Qatar ExxonMobil Open, and the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, in addition to local tournaments such as Algalayel Championship and Al Udeid Desert Challenge. 2021 will also witness the return of exhibitions and festivals such as Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition, Heya Arabian Fashion Show, Milipol Qatar, Qatar Motor Show, Shop Qatar, Ajyal Film Festival, Qatar International Food Festival, Qatar Life and many more.

الدوحة: أعلن المجلس الوطني للسياحة في قطر عن الفعاليات المقبلة لعام 2021 من خلال منصته الإلكترونية “تقويم قطر”.
وفي إطار جهوده الرامية إلى تطوير وتنويع الروزنامة السنوية للفعاليات في البلاد، يقوم “تقويم قطر ” بتوحيد وتنسيق الجهود مع شركاء المجلس الوطني للسياحة في قطر للتعاون من مختلف القطاعات العامة والخاصة، مما يسمح لهم بالاستفادة من المسابقات الرياضية الكبرى والمهرجانات الترفيهية والمعارض والمؤتمرات. كل هذا يساعد على دعم الاقتصاد المحلي، ويسلط الضوء على المواهب المحلية في قطر، ويؤكد التطورات الرئيسية في البنية التحتية للسياحة في البلاد.
وقال الأمين العام للمجلس الوطني للسياحة في قطر والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، سعادة أكبر الباكر: “إنّه يوفر منصة مبسطة للفعاليات التي تقام في جميع أنحاء البلاد، كما يتيح تقويم قطر للمجلس الوطني للسياحة في قطر وأصحاب المصلحة في القطاعين العام والخاص عرض عروضنا المتنوعة على الصعيدين المحلي والدولي. وستساهم الجهود المنسقة مع شركائنا، التي تكملها البنية التحتية المتطورة وسهولة الوصول إلى البلاد، في بناء سمعة البلاد كوجهة رئيسية للفعاليات الدولية”.
سيكون تقويم قطر بمثابة منصة رقمية رسمية للزوار والمقيمين للتعرف على الفعاليات التي تقام في قطر. كما أن قدرتها على بناء الوعي بالفعاليات وتسهيل التخطيط والحجز سوف تلعب دوراً هاماً في ترويج قطر لتناسب جميع الاهتمامات والأذواق.
وفي العام المقبل، ستستضيف قطر فعاليات رياضية دولية كبرى مثل كأس العالم للأندية في قطر، وبطولة قطر إكسون موبيل المفتوحة، وكأس العرب 2021، بالإضافة إلى البطولات المحلية مثل بطولة القلايل وتحدي العديد الصحراوي. كما سيشهد عام 2021 عودة المعارض والمهرجانات مثل معرض الدوحة للمجوهرات والساعات، معرض هيا للأزياء العربية، ميليبول قطر، معرض قطر للسيارات، شوب قطر، مهرجان أجيال السينمائي، مهرجان قطر الدولي للأغذية، قطر لايف وغيرها الكثير.
