Working hours for hotels in Qatar on New Year’s Eve extended until 3 am

Doha: In reference to Article (3) Of the Amiri decree, No. (74) Of the year 2018 regarding the establishment of the National Tourism Council, which states that the National Tourism Council scope is to work on improving the tourism experience. In the state of Qatar and to further develop relevant legal and regulatory aspects.

And in reference to item No. (9) of Article (13) of the Law No. (20) of the year 2018, which provided that instructions issued by the National Tourism Council should be taken into consideration, based on the collaboration with competent authorities in the state regarding work regulations of tourism activities, hotel establishments and tourism establishments.

And in continuation to efforts and precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar to prevent and limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and further to previous circulars issued by the General Secretariat of the National Tourism Council, in this regard.

And to enhance the operation controls and ensure improving the tourist experience.

Of the guests and visitors in hotel establishments operating in the state during Thursday Eve of 31st.

The following has been decided:

1. All licensed hotel establishments operating in the state of Qatar are permitted to extend working hours for specialized clubs of the Category (B) on New Year’s Eve on Thursday 31/12/2020 until 3:00 AM of Friday 01/01/ 2021;

2. Hotel establishments management must continue to comply with the “Qatar Clean” Program by following the procedures provided in Circular 11/2020 and complying with the procedures provided in Circular 16/2020.

3. Specialized clubs of category (A) and (C) shall continue to be closed until further notice.

This circular shall come into force as of its date.

The General Secretariat of the National Tourism Council appreciates your cooperation in implementing these instructions to avoid legal liability prescribed by law No. (20) of the year 2018 on regulation on Tourism.

الأمانة العامة للمجلس الوطني للسياحة

الدوحة: بالإشارة إلى المادة (3) من القرار الأميري رقم (74) لسنة 2018 بشأن إنشاء المجلس الوطني للسياحة والذي نص

على اختصاص المجلس الوطني للسياحة بالعمل على تحسين التجربة السياحية في الدولة ومتابعة تطوير ذلك من النواحي القانونية والتنظيمية.

وبالإشارة الى البند رقم (9) من المادة (13) من القانون رقم (20) لسنة 2018 بشأن تنظيم السياحة والذي نص على مراعاة التعليمات التي تصدر من المجلس الوطني للسياحة بناءً على التنسيق المشترك بين المجلس والجهات المختصة في الدولة بشأن ضوابط العمل بالأنشطة السياحية والمنشآت الفندقية والسياحية.

واستكمالاً للجهود والاجراءات الاحترازية التي تتخذها دولة قطر للوقاية والحد من اتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، والحاقاً للتعاميم السابقة الصادرة من الأمانة العامة للمجلس الوطني للسياحة بهذا الشأن.

ولغايات تطوير ضوابط العمل في المنشآت الفندقية بما يضمن تحسين التجربة السياحية للنزلاء والزوار بالمنشآت الفندقية العاملة في الدولة خلال ليلة الخميس الموافق 31/12/2020 بمناسبة رأس السنة الميلادية الجديدة.

فقد تقرر ما يلي:

1- السماح للمنشآت الفندقية المرخصة والعاملة في دولة قطر بمد أوقات العمل في الأندية المتخصصة من الفئة (ب) في ليلة الخميس 31/12/2020 رأس السنة الميلادية الجديدة إلى غاية الساعة الثالثة صباحا من فجر يوم الجمعة الموافق 01/01/2021.

2- يجب على إدارة المنشأة الفندقية الاستمرار في الالتزام بتطبيق برنامج “قطر نظيفة”, باتباع الإجراءات المنصوص عليها في التعميم رقم 11/2020 والالتزام بالإجراءات المنصوص عليها في التعميم رقم 16/2020,

3- يستمر إغلاق الأندية المتخصصة من فئة (أ) و (ج) وحتى إشعار آخر.

يعمل بهذا التعميم اعتباراً من تاريخه.

تشكر الأمانة العامة للمجلس الوطني للسياحة تعاونكم في تنفيذ هذه التعليمات لتجنب أي مساءلة قانونية تترتب على مخالفتها وذلك وفقاً لما قرره القانون رقم (20) لسنة 2018 بشأن تنظيم السياحة المشار إليه أعلاه.
