27 thousand visitors to Al Khor Park last week

Doha: Al Khor Family Park welcomed more than 27,000 visitors last week, in compliance with the precautionary measures set by the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the safety of the visitors.

Abdullah Al-Mohannadi, head of the parks department in the municipality of Al-Khor, said in statements to Al-Raya: “The park received 3,924 visitors on Saturday, 3,629 visitors on Sunday, 3,767 visitors on Monday, 2571 visitors on Tuesday, 4,100 visitors on Wednesday, 3,307 visitors on Thursday and 5,742 visitors on Friday, indicating that the turnout increased by between 60 and 70% after the park’s expansion.

For his part, Mohammed Alkhayarin, the supervisor of the zoo department in the park, said that several sections for predatory animals were added after the park’s development, along with the monkey, bear, rhinoceros and giraffe sections, indicating that the number of animals in the park reaches 360 species from several different species, including lions and birds.

He noted that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has provided entry tickets to the park in a number of branches of AlMeera Associations to facilitate the entry process for visitors and avoid crowding at the main gates.

And he stressed that the memorial photo event with the little cub was met with great response from visitors because it gives an atmosphere of fun and pleasure for the hearts of young and old, indicating that some restaurants have been opened to provide light foods and juices to the public.

He pointed out that the park opens its doors to the public every day from eight in the morning until ten in the evening, seven days a week, and tickets are stopped at eight in the evening. Sunday is designated a “public” for everyone to visit, and Tuesday is only “for women and children,” noting that the Entering door to the park is closed. when the number of 10 thousand visitors is reached, and no new visitors will be allowed to get in.

The park witnessed a great turnout by citizens and residents amid a commitment to precautionary measures such as wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing and safe distances with others, with the need for “Ehteraz” application and for the status to be green.

He stressed that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment is keen to meet all the park visitors’ proposals and work to provide them in a way that serves all visitors, and to study all proposals for their implementation in the event that they develop the park services.

He pointed out that in order to enter the park, 7 precautionary measures must be followed to maintain public health, including highlighting the green color on ” Ehteraz ” app, temperature measuring, follow security instructions, maintain safe distance and physical distancing, ensure public hygiene, follow children, ensure their safety, avoid games and touching surfaces. … stressing that adherence to these preconditions and preventive measures is a guarantee of the safety and health of everyone.

The park is witnessing periodic sterilization and disinfection campaigns in animal wards as part of the precautionary measures for preventing the spread of Coronavirus infection “Covid-19”, as sterilization and disinfection operations were carried out twice a week periodically before the Coronavirus crisis, and then it was doubled to four times a week.

He added: The health of animals is monitored around the clock remotely and monitored completely by surveillance cameras to ensure their health throughout the day for rapid intervention when any symptoms appear on them, as well as a full periodic examination, in addition to the rehabilitation of workers in charge of animal control to deal in cases Emergency and monitoring any changing behavior of the animal’s condition to immediately report and take all precautionary measures.

The park has an integrated emergency team of veterinarians, technicians, and animal care workers, as well as the availability of an integrated veterinary clinic for animal care, which allows surgical operations for all types of animals in the park, noting the role of the veterinary clinic in providing medical care on a monthly basis for all types of animals and ensuring their safety, as well as the annual vaccinations followed according to the schedule listed in the zoo, in addition to the intervention of the emergency team in the event of any health problems for the animals .

Al Khor Family Park is one of the most important and largest parks and gardens in Qatar and an outlet for all residents, as it is characterized by green spaces and large trees, and includes environmental and recreational parts, a listed lecture hall, a games area in the entertainment service part and an artificial lake surrounded by large numbers of trees, perennials and seasonal flowers.

الدوحة:استقبل منتزه الخور للعائلات أكثر من 27 ألف زائر الأسبوع الماضي، وسط التزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية التي حدّدتها وزارة الصحة العامة لضمان سلامة المرتادين.

وقال عبدالله المهندي، رئيس قسم الحدائق ببلدية الخور، في تصريحات لـ الراية: إن المنتزه استقبل 3924 زائرًا يوم السبت و3629 زائرًا يوم الأحد و3767 زائرًا يوم الاثنين و2571 زائرًا يوم الثلاثاء و4100 زائر يوم الأربعاء و3307 زائرين يوم الخميس و5742 زائرًا يوم الجمعة.. مشيرًا إلى أن الإقبال ارتفع بنسبة تتراوح بين 60 و70% بعد تطوير المنتزه.

من جانبه قال السيد محمد الخيارين المُشرف على قسم حديقة الحيوان بالمنتزه إنه تم إضافة أقسام عديدة للحيوانات المُفترسة بعد تطوير المُنتزه بجانب أقسام القرود والدب ووحيد القرن والزرافة.. مشيرًا إلى أن عدد الحيوانات الموجودة بالحديقة يصل إلى 360 نوعًا من عدة فصائل مُختلفة، منها الأسديات والطيور.

ونوه بقيام وزارة البلدية والبيئة بتوفير تذاكر الدخول للمُنتزه في عدد من أفرع جمعيات الميرة لتسهيل عملية دخول الزائرين وعدم التزاحم عند البوابات الرئيسية.

وأكّد أن فعالية التقاط الصور التذكارية مع الشبل الصغير لاقت إقبالًا كبيرًا من الزوّار لما تضفيه من أجواء من المرح والسرور على نفوس الصغار والكبار، مُشيرًا إلى فتح بعض المطاعم لتوفير الأطعمة الخفيفة والعصائر للجمهور.

ولفت إلى أن المُنتزه يفتح أبوابه للجمهور يوميًا من الثامنة صباحًا وحتى العاشرة مساءً طوال أيام الأسبوع، ويتم وقف بيع التذاكر في الثامنة مساءً، كما يتم تخصيص يوم الأحد «عام» لزيارة الجمهور، ويوم الثلاثاء «للنساء والأطفال» فقط، علمًا بأنه يتم إغلاق باب دخول المنتزه عند بلوغ عدد 10 آلاف زائر، ولن يُسمح بدخول أي زائرين جدد.

وشهد المنتزه إقبالًا كبيرًا من المواطنين والمقيمين وسط التزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية من ارتداء للكمامات والمحافظة على التباعد الجسدي والمسافات الآمنة مع الآخرين، مع ضرورة وجود تطبيق «احتراز» وأن تكون الحالة باللون الأخضر.

وأكّد أن وزارة البلدية والبيئة حريصة على تلبية كافة مقترحات زوار الحديقة والعمل على توفيرها بما يخدم كافة الزوار ودراسة كافة المقترحات لتطبيقها في حالة تطويرها لخدمات الحديقة.

وأشار إلى أنه لدخول المنتزه، يتوجب اتباع 7 تدابير احترازية للمُحافظة على الصحة العامة، منها إبراز اللون الأخضر لتطبيق «احتراز» وقياس درجة الحرارة واتباع تعليمات رجال الأمن والمُحافظة على المسافة الآمنة والتباعد الجسدي والحرص على النظافة العامة ومُتابعة الأطفال والحرص على سلامتهم وتجنب الألعاب ومُلامسة الأسطح.. مؤكدًا أن الالتزام بهذه الاشتراطات والتدابير الوقائية هو ضمان لسلامة وصحة الجميع.

ويشهد المُنتزه حملات تعقيم وتطهير دورية بعنابر الحيوانات ضمن الإجراءات الاحترازية والتدابير الخاصة بالوقاية من انتشار عدوى فيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19»، حيث كانت تجرى عمليات التعقيم والتطهير مرتين أسبوعيًا بشكل دوري قبل أزمة كورونا، وبعد ذلك تمّت مُضاعفتها لتكون أربع مرات في الأسبوع.

وأضاف: تتم مُتابعة صحة الحيوانات على مدار الساعة عن بُعد ومُراقبتها بشكل كامل عن طريق كاميرات المراقبة للتأكد من صحتها طوال اليوم للتدخل السريع عند ملاحظة ظهور أي أعراض مرضية عليها، فضلًا عن الكشف الدوري بشكل كامل، إلى جانب تأهيل العاملين المكلفين بمُراقبة الحيوانات للتعامل في حالات الطوارئ ومُراقبة أي سلوك مُتغير لحالة الحيوان للإبلاغ الفوري واتخاذ كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية.

ويتواجد بالمنتزه فريق طوارئ متكامل من أطباء بيطريين وفنيين وعمّال لرعاية الحيوانات، فضلًا عن توافر عيادة بيطرية متكاملة لرعاية الحيوانات والتي تتيح إجراء عمليات جراحية لكافة أنواع الحيوانات بالحديقة، منوهًا بدور العيادة البيطرية في تقديم الرعاية الطبية بشكل شهري لكافة أنواع الحيوانات والتأكد من سلامتها، فضلًا عن التطعيمات السنوية المُتبعة حسب الجدول المدرج في حديقة الحيوانات، إلى جانب تدخل فريق الطوارئ حال حصول أي وعكة صحية للحيوانات.

ويُعتبر منتزه الخور للعائلات من أهم وأكبر الحدائق والمُنتزهات في قطر ومُتنفسًا لجميع السكان، حيث يتميز بالمُسطحات الخضراء والأشجار الكبيرة، ويضم أجزاءً بيئية وترفيهية وقاعة مُحاضرات مُدرجة، ومنطقة ألعاب بالجزء الخدمي الترفيهي وبحيرة صناعية مُحاطة بأعداد كبيرة من الأشجار والنباتات المُعمّرة والزهور الموسمية.
