Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment announced, via its Twitter account, Friday’s evening, the sale of entrance tickets to Al Khor Park in 8 branches of Al Meera.
Entrance tickets to Al Khor Park are sold at the following Al Meera branches: Airport, Al Hayat Plaza, Gulf Mall, Al Dakhira, Al Khor, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, and Mansoura.
Last February, the Ministry opened Al Khor Family Park to the public, after the completion of its development and maintenance project, which lasted for about 3 months.
The visit to Al Khor Park for families will be from Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 11pm, and on Friday from 2pm to 11pm, while Tuesday is reserved for women and children.
Al Khor Family Park is one of the largest and most important parks and gardens in the State of Qatar, and an outlet for all residents of the country, and is characterized by green spaces and large trees, and includes environmental and recreational parts and a listed lecture hall, a games area in the entertainment service part, and an artificial lake surrounded by large numbers of trees, perennials and seasonal flowers.
The park witnessed the addition of 7 new sections after its maintenance and rehabilitation, and it included 315 animals of 49 species and families, of which 290 were new, in addition to adding a number of predators to the park and different types of birds that were not previously present, and the number of animals and birds after the renovation reached more than 300.
The development work included the expansion of the zoo inside the park, and the addition of many different sections and types of animals, while providing the highest standards of security and safety for visitors to make the park a major entertainment destination, and with this expansion it is expected that the number of visitors after the opening of the zoo will reach about 500 thousand visitors annually.
Al Khor Family Park includes an open Roman theater that can accommodate 400 people for concerts and events, a museum consisting of a showroom and a number of halls, in addition to two areas for children’s games completely covered with a rubber floor of an area of about 4000 square meters, an outdoor area for sports and a skateboard area, with 42 different types of trees, shrubs and plants.
The park also includes a mosque that accommodates 360 worshipers of men and women, 12 water coolers for drinking, a large restaurant with 3 covered halls and an outdoor hall, and other service facilities, including those related to people with special needs.

وتباع تذاكر الدخول لمنتزه الخور في أفرع الميرة التالية: المطار، الحياة بلازا، جلف مول، الذخيرة، الخور، الوكرة، الشمال، المنصورة.
وكانت الوزارة افتتحت خلال شهر فبراير الماضي منتزه الخور للعائلات أمام الجمهور، بعد الانتهاء من مشروع تطويره وصيانته، والتي استمرت لنحو 3 أشهر.
وستكون مواعيد الزيارة لمنتزه الخور للعائلات من السبت إلى الخميس من 8 صباحاً إلى 11 مساء، ويوم الجمعة من 2 ظهراً إلى 11 مساءً، فيما تم تخصيص يوم الثلاثاء للنساء والأطفال.
ويعتبر منتزه الخور للعائلات من أهم وأكبر الحدائق والمنتزهات في دولة قطر، ومتنفساً لجميع سكان الدولة، ويتميز بالمسطحات الخضراء والأشجار الكبيرة، ويضم أجزاءً بيئية وترفيهية وقاعة محاضرات مدرجة، ومنطقة ألعاب في الجزء الخدمي الترفيهي، وبحيرة صناعية محاطة بأعداد كبيرة من الأشجار والنباتات المعمرة والزهور الموسمية.
وشهد المنتزه إضافة 7 أقسام جديدة بعد صيانته وإعادة تأهيله، وضمت 315 حيواناً من 49 نوعاً وفصيلة، منها 290 جديدة، فضلاً عن إضافة عدد من الحيوانات المفترسة للحديقة وأنواع مختلفة من الطيور لم تكن موجودة به سابقا، ووصل عدد الحيوانات والطيور بعد التجديد إلى أكثر من 300 حيوان وطائر.
وتضمنت أعمال التطوير توسعة حديقة الحيوان داخل المنتزه، وإضافة العديد من الأقسام والنوعيات المختلفة من الحيوانات، مع توفير أعلى معايير الأمن والسلامة للزوار ليكون المنتزه مقصداً ترفيهياً رئيسياً، ويتوقع مع هذه التوسعة أن يصل عدد الزوار بعد افتتاح حديقة الحيوان فيه إلى حوالي 500 ألف زائر سنوياً.
وتحتوي حديقة منتزه الخور للعائلات على مسرح روماني مكشوف يتسع لـ 400 شخص لإقامة الحفلات والفعاليات، ومتحف يتكون من صالة عرض وعدد من القاعات، بالإضافة إلى منطقتين لألعاب الأطفال مغطاتين بالكامل بأرضية مطاطية بمساحة حوالي 4000 متر مربع، ومنطقة خارجية للألعاب الرياضية ومنطقة تزحلق بالألواح، ويُوجد به 42 نوعا من الأشجار والشجيرات والنباتات المختلفة.
كما يحتوي المنتزه على مسجد يتسع لـ 360 مصلياً من الرجال والنساء، و12 مبرد مياه للشرب، ومطعم كبير من 3 صالات مغطاة وصالة خارجية وغيرها من المرافق الخدمية بما فيها تلك المتعلقة بذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
