SC Affirms Full Support for Qatar’s Bid to Host AFC Asian Cup 2027

Doha: The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), the entity responsible for implementing the projects of the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022), underlined its full support to Qatar’s bid file to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, handed over by Qatar Football Association (QFA) to Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

HE Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al Thawadi underlined that the State of Qatar has extensive experience in organizing and hosting major regional and international sports events, pointing to Qatar’s continuous keenness on investing the power of football and its popularity to serve societies and individuals around the world.

In press statements, HE Al Thawadi looked forward to hosting regional and international tournaments after Qatar 2022, and making the most of the World Cup legacy, such as tournament facilities and infrastructure projects, as well as continuing to launch the Football for Development program initiatives which aim for creating positive impacts on societies around the world.

HE Al Thawadi stressed the Supreme Committee’s readiness to provide full support for Qatar’s bid to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, noting that the Committee is looking forward to sharing its experiences and knowledge gained during the 2022 World Cup hosting with those in charge of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup bid and standing by them so that this important step culminates in the desired success.

For his part, CEO of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nasser Al Khater said that football has witnessed a remarkable development in the State of Qatar since the announcement that the country won the right to host the World Cup in 2010, indicating that the combined efforts of experts and specialists, in addition to the advanced and world-class infrastructure, contribute greatly to hosting the largest sporting event in the world in 2022, bearing in mind the importance that the tournament leaves Qatar with a valuable and sustainable legacy that is not limited to football.

He underlined that the State of Qatar possesses all the elements that qualify it to host the best edition in the history of the Asian Cup, noting that Qatar has everything that would contribute to the success of the AFC Asian Cup 2027, such as stadiums, training venues, advanced technologies, in addition to human competencies and extensive experience in organizing international and regional tournaments.

He added that the AFC Asian Cup occupies a special place in the hearts of football fans in Qatar, stressing that the Committee will provide all support for Qatars bid to win the right to organize the tournament for the third time.

The State of Qatar promises football fans an exceptional experience in the AFC Asian Cup 2027, as they will have the opportunity to benefit from the stadiums and the various facilities and infrastructure projects that were built specifically to host the 2022 World Cup.

The State of Qatar hosted the AFC Asian Cup twice in 1988 and 2011. The Qatari team is participating in the next edition holding the Asian champion title, after it won the championship in 2019.

الدوحة: أكدت اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، الجهة المسؤولة عن تنفيذ مشاريع بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم /قطر 2022/، دعمها الكامل لملف ترشح قطر لاستضافة بطولة كأس آسيا 2027، والذي سلمه الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم إلى الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم.

وأكد سعادة السيد حسن الذوادي، الأمين العام للجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، تمتع دولة قطر بخبرة واسعة في مجال تنظيم واستضافة كبرى الفعاليات والأحداث الرياضية الإقليمية والعالمية، مشيراً إلى حرص قطر المتواصل على استثمار قوة كرة القدم وانتشار شعبيتها في العالم لخدمة المجتمعات والأفراد حول العالم.

وقال الذوادي ، في تصريح صحفي ، :”في خضم استعداداتنا لاستضافة بطولة قطر 2022، الحدث الكروي الأكبر في العالم، من المهم أن نتطلع قُدما لاستضافة بطولات إقليمية ودولية أخرى، وتحقيق أقصى استفادة ممكنة من إرث المونديال، مثل مرافق البطولة، ومشاريع البنى التحتية، إلى جانب الاستمرار في إطلاق مبادرات برنامج كرة القدم من أجل التنمية بغية إحداث تأثيرات إيجابية في المجتمعات حول العالم.”

وشدد الذوادي على استعداد اللجنة العليا لتقديم كامل الدعم والمساندة لملف قطر لاستضافة كأس آسيا 2027، مشيرا إلى أن اللجنة تتطلع إلى مشاركة خبراتها ومعرفتها التي اكتسبها خلال مشوار استضافة مونديال 2022 مع القائمين على ملف كأس آسيا 2027 والوقوف إلى جانبهم لتكلل هذه الخطوة الهامة بالنجاح المنشود.

من جانبه، اوضح السيد ناصر الخاطر، الرئيس التنفيذي لبطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم /قطر 2022/?، أن كرة القدم في قطر شهدت تطوراً ملحوظاً منذ الإعلان في 2010 عن فوز البلاد بحق استضافة المونديال، مشيرا إلى أن تكاتف جهود الخبراء والمتخصصين، بالإضافة إلى البنية التحتية المتطورة وعالمية المستوى، يسهم بشكل كبير باستضافة الحدث الرياضي الأضخم في العالم في 2022، واضعين نُصب أعيننا أهمية أن تترك البطولة لدولة قطر إرثا مستداما قيما لا يقتصر على كرة القدم.

وقال الخاطر ، في تصريح صحفي ، إن “دولة قطر تمتلك كافة المقومات التي تؤهلها لاستضافة أفضل نسخة في تاريخ بطولة كأس آسيا”، لافتا إلى ان دولة قطر تزخر بكل ما من شأنه الإسهام في إنجاح كأس آسيا 2027 مثل الاستادات، وملاعب التدريب، والتقنيات المتطورة، إضافة إلى الكفاءات البشرية، والخبرات الواسعة في تنظيم بطولات عالمية وإقليمية، ولا يقل أهمية عن هذا كله شغفنا وتطلعنا لاستضافة نسخة فريدة من بطولة كاس آسيا تحمل طابعاً عالمياً.

وأضاف أن بطولة كأس آسيا تحتل مكانة مميزة في قلوب عشاق كرة القدم في قطر، مشددا على أن اللجنة ستقدم كل الدعم لملف ترشح قطر لاستضافة كأس آسيا 2027 للفوز بحق تنظيم هذه البطولة الغالية على قلوبنا للمرة الثالثة في دولة قطر.

وتعد دولة قطر المشجعين وعشاق كرة القدم بخوض تجربة استثنائية في بطولة كأس آسيا 2027، إذ سيتاح أمامهم فرصة الاستفادة من الاستادات ومختلف مرافق ومشاريع البنية التحتية التي جرى تشييدها خصيصاً لاستضافة مونديال 2022.

إلى جانب ذلك ستتاح الفرصة أمام اللاعبين والمشجعين للاستمتاع بمزايا المشاركة في بطولة متقاربة المسافات، يمكنهم خلالها الإقامة في مكان واحد طوال فترة البطولة، ما يعني توفير الجهد والمال والوقت في السفر والتنقل من منطقة لأخرى لحضور المباريات.

وستعود هذه الميزة بالنفع الكبير على اللاعبين وأجهزة المنتخبات المشتركة، إذ ستتيح الطبيعة الجغرافية لدولة قطر فرصة أمام المنتخبات المشاركة لإقامة معسكر تدريبي واحد طوال فترة البطولة، مما سيوفر وقت اللاعبين وجهدهم ويسمح لهم بتكريس طاقاتهم للاستعداد للمباريات بدلاً من إهدارها في السفر.

يشار إلى أن دولة قطر استضافت بطولة كأس آسيا مرتين عامي 1988 و2011، ويشارك المنتخب القطري في النسخة المقبلة من المونديال حاملاً لقب بطل آسيا، بعد نجاحه في الفوز بلقب البطولة في 2019.

ويتوقع أن يعلن الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم عن الدولة المضيفة للنسخة التاسعة عشر من كأس آسيا 2027 خلال العام 2021، وقد جرى اختيار الصين لاستضافة نسخة 2023 من البطولة.
