Mowasalat to activate Apple Pay and Google Pay services in Karwa taxis

Doha: Mowasalat (Karwa) and QNB Group have collaborated to introduce mobile payment options via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The launching of Apple Pay and Google Pay, which secures payments using Touch ID or Face ID on compatible iOS and Android devices, is an important step by Mowasalat and QNB to promote payment through smart devices. At the moment, customers with already activated Apple and Google Pay accounts will be able to pay their Mowasalat (Karwa)’s Taxi and Limousine rides through the system, until the service is approved for local banks, too.
Under this partnership, Mowasalat (Karwa) is the first merchant to enable this service in Qatar, while QNB will become the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services provider, offering its customers mobile payment solutions that are compatible with the best international standards.
Fahad Saad Al Qahtani – Mowasalat (Karwa) CEO, emphasized that “the customers are at the very heart of our business, and this directly resonates in the implementation of latest technology.
The activation of Apple Pay and Google Pay services comes within our ongoing efforts that we started with the brand new Karwa Taxi App. We constantly embrace more digital solutions to make our services easily and safely available for all. In a nutshell – we are on the way to make Mowasalat (Karwa) part of everyone’s everyday life.”

الدوحة: أطلقت شركة مواصلات، كروه، المزود الرئيسي لخدمات النقل في قطر، بالتعاون مع مجموعة QNB، أكبر مؤسسة مالية في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، نظاما لتعزيز خدمات الدفع الإلكتروني عبر الجوال Apple Pay وGoogle Pay.
و يعد إطلاق نظامي Apple Pay وGooglePay، وهي نظم دفع آمنة باستخدام بصمة الوجه Face ID أو بصمة الإصبع Touch ID على أجهزة Apple iOS وAndroid، بمثابة خطوة هامة للتشجيع على استخدام الدفع الإلكتروني عبر الجوال. وفي الوقت الحالي، سيتمكن العملاء الذين لديهم حسابات مفعلة مسبقاً على آبل باي Apple Pay أو جوجل باي Google Pay من دفع أجرة سيارات التاكسي والليموزين من خلال التطبيق، إلى أن يتم اعتماد الخدمة بالبنوك المحلية أيضاً.
وفي إطار هذا التعاون، ستكون شركة مواصلات (كروه) أول شركة في دولة قطر تقدم هذه الخدمة، بينما سيكون QNB هو مزود خدمات بوابة ماستركارد للدفع، حيث يقدم لعملائه حلول الدفع عبر الجوال وفقاً لأعلى المعايير الدولية.
وأكد السيد فهد سعد القحطاني- الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مواصلات،كروه، أن الشركة تضع العملاء في صدارة أولوياتها مما ينعكس بشكل مباشر على حرصنا في استخدام أحدث التقنيات.
