Qatar Airways Wins the 2021 APEX Five Star Global Official Airline Rating

Doha: Qatar Airways on Thursday announced that it has received the 2021 Airline Passenger Experience Association’s (APEX) Five Star Global Official Airline Rating. The APEX Award Ceremony was held during the FTE APEX Virtual Expo on 9 December.
Over the past year, APEX certified nearly one million flights rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines from around the world.
HE Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded the 2021 Five Star Global Official Airline Rating, and we extend our sincere thanks to our many loyal passengers who have voted for us. To have been recognized as a five star global airline yet again is a tremendous achievement for Qatar Airways, and is proof of the great heights to which we have soared during the past year. Such accomplishments push us to continue innovating and redefining the passenger experience.”
The APEX Official Airline Ratings were created based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights gathered through APEX’s partnership with TripIt from Concur , the world’s highest-rated travel-organizing app. Using a five-star scale, nearly one million flights were rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines from around the world. The APEX Official Airline Ratings were independently certified by a professional external auditing company.
Qatar Airways’ onboard safety measures for passengers and cabin crew include the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for cabin crew and a complimentary protective kit and disposable face shields for passengers. Business Class passengers on aircraft equipped with Qsuite can enjoy the enhanced privacy this award-winning business seat provides, including sliding privacy partitions and the option to use a Do Not Disturb (DND)’ indicator. Qatar Airways currently operates more than 700 weekly flights to over 100 destinations across the globe. By the end of the IATA Winter Season, Qatar Airways plans to rebuild its network to 126 destinations including 20 in Africa, 11 in the Americas, 42 in Asia-Pacific, 38 in Europe and 15 in the Middle East. Many cities will be served with a strong schedule with daily or more frequencies.
A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organization Skytrax. It was also named Best Airline in the Middle East’, World’s Best Business Class’, and Best Business Class Seat’, in recognition of its ground-breaking Business Class experience, Qsuite. It is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title, which is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, five times.

الدوحة: أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية فوزها بجائزة “شركة الطيران العالمية ذات التصنيف خمس نجوم لعام 2021″، وذلك خلال حفل توزيع جوائز رابطة تجارب المسافرين الجويين /أبيكس/ لخيارات المسافرين لعام 2021 الذي أقيم ضمن فعاليات مؤتمر /أبيكس/ الذي أقيم “عن بعد” أمس الأربعاء.
وعلى مدار العام الماضي، صادقت /أبيكس/ على ما يقارب مليون رحلة قام المسافرون بتقييمها لأكثر من 600 شركة طيران عالمية.
وقال سعادة السيّد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجويّة القطريّة “يسرّنا الفوز بلقب /شركة الطيران العالمية ذات التصنيف خمس نجوم لعام 2021/، ونودّ بهذه المناسبة أن نُعرب عن خالص شكرنا للعديد من مسافرينا الأوفياء الذين صوتوا لنا. ويعدّ الاعتراف بالخطوط الجوية القطرية باعتبارها شركة طيران عالمية من فئة خمس نجوم نجاحاً بارزاً بلا شك، ودليلاً على الإنجازات المهمة التي حققناها خلال العام الماضي. ومن شأن هذه الإنجازات أن تدفعنا إلى مواصلة الابتكار وإعادة تعريف تجربة المسافرين”.
وترتكز جوائز /أبيكس/ الرسمية لتصنيف شركات الطيران العالمية على آراء المسافرين التي يتمّ جمعها من خلال الشراكة مع TripIt من Concur ، وهو أبرز تطبيق للسفر في العالم، وذلك عبر تصنيف أكثر من مليون رحلة من قبل المسافرين لأكثر من 600 شركة طيران من جميع أنحاء العالم. وقد تم اعتماد تصنيف /أبيكس/ لشركات الطيران العالمية بشكل مستقل من قِبل شركة تدقيق خارجية محترفة.
واتخذت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر عدداً من الإجراءات لتعزيز تدابير السلامة على متن رحلاتها، من خلال تقديم معدات الحماية الشخصية لطاقم الضيافة، وحقيبة مستلزمات الحماية الشخصية وواق للوجه للمسافرين على كافة الدرجات.
وتسيّر الخطوط الجويّة القطريّة حاليّاً أكثر من 700 رحلة أسبوعيّاً إلى أكثر من 100 وجهة عالميّاً. وبحلول نهاية فصل الشتاء، تعتزم الناقلة إعادة بناء شبكة وجهاتها لتصل إلى 126 .
وحازت الخطوط الجوية القطرية على جائزة أفضل “شركة طيران في العالم” خلال حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية 2019 ، كما حصدت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر جائزة “أفضل شركة طيران في الشرق الأوسط ” وجائزة “أفضل درجة رجال أعمال” في العالم وجائزة “أفضل مقعد على درجة رجال الأعمال” عن مقاعد كيو سويت.
