17th Edition of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition Kicks Off

Doha: Held under the patronage of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, the 17th edition of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition kicked off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), marking the first event of the season hosted by Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC).
The five-day exhibition is part of QNTCs vibrant calendar of events and is organized this year by Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC), a subsidiary of QNTC.
Commenting on the occasion, HE Secretary-General of Qatar National Tourism Council and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said: “As we host the first major exhibition of the season, I take this opportunity to acknowledge our countrys successful efforts during this challenging phase, which enabled us to be here today and to resume the activities of the tourism sector.”
“Heya has grown over the years to become a leading exhibition of modest fashion, strengthening the countrys position as a hub of fashion innovation in the region and beyond. QNTC is working with its partners across the public and private sectors to create offerings tailored to the countrys domestic market and to reenergize its tourism sector,” HE Al Baker added.
The 17th edition of Heya highlights Qatars homegrown talent and local entrepreneurs making their mark in the world of modest fashion. Over 150 brands are being showcased, ranging from high-street apparel, haute couture and luxury, to the latest modest evening gowns and abayas. The exhibition opened with a dazzling ceremony attended by dignitaries, exhibitors and prominent personalities from the world of fashion.
Heya is being organized under stringent precautionary measures in line with the hygiene and safety guidelines put forth by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) including limiting the visitor capacity to 30%, mandatory use of masks, presenting the EHTERAZ application on entrance, and following social distancing measures. It features a rich program of events spread over five days, including ten talk shows, four fashion shows, one introductory session and two workshops.
A series of ten talk shows highlighting fashion icons, designers, leading figures from the education sector and content creators is woven through the program to ensure Heya continues with its tradition of supporting aspiring designers and entrepreneurs.
Heyas new calligraphic logo uses a contemporary and abstract lettering of the Arabic name and executes it in a modern interpretation of classic calligraphy. It takes a very short word but expresses it in an iconic way, using a delicate mix of calligraphy and typography. It also uses contrasting thin and thick strokes to reflect elegance and the original burgundy color of the brand is maintained.

الدوحة: بدأت فعاليات معرض /هي/ للأزياء العربية في نسخته السابعة عشرة بمركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، تحت رعاية سعادة الشيخة المياسة بنت حمد آل ثاني، ويستمر لمدة خمسة أيام، ليصبح بذلك الفعالية الأولى التي يستضيفها المجلس الوطني للسياحة هذا الموسم .
ويعد المعرض جزءاً من رزنامة المهرجانات والفعاليات الحيوية التي تُقام تحت مظلة المجلس الوطني للسياحة، وتنظمه هذا العام شركة قطر لفعاليات الأعمال، إحدى الكيانات التابعة للمجلس.
وأشاد سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الأمين العام للمجلس الوطني للسياحة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية في تصريح صحفي بهذه المناسبة بالجهود الناجحة التي بذلتها الدولة خلال الفترة السابقة، والتي مكنت من استئناف النشاط السياحي في قطر وتنظيم هذا المعرض ليكون أول فعالية رئيسية لهذا الموسم .
وأوضح الباكر أن معرض “هي للأزياء العربية” شهد تطوراً كبيراً خلال السنوات الماضية ، ما جعله حدثاً رائداً في مجال الموضة والأزياء العربية، وهو ما ساهم بدوره في تعزيز مكانة قطر كمركز ابتكار إقليمي.
وقال إن المجلس الوطني للسياحة يستمر مع شركائه من القطاعين العام والخاص، في تطوير عروض وتجارب سياحية تناسب السوق المحلي وتساهم في تنشيط قطاع السياحة.
تسلط النسخة السابعة عشرة من المعرض ، الضوء بالدرجة الأولى على المواهب المحلية في التصميم وريادة الأعمال ، ممن أصبحت لهم بصمة واضحة في عالم الأزياء العربية ، علما أن المعرض يشهد مشاركة أكثر من 150 علامة تجارية، تقدم تشكيلات متنوعة من الملابس الجاهزة والأزياء الراقية والفاخرة وأحدث فساتين السهرة والعبايات.
تقام فعاليات المعرض، في ظل إجراءات احترازية صارمة، تماشيا مع إرشادات السلامة والصحة التي أقرتها وزارة الصحة العامة، بما في ذلك تحديد عدد الزوار بحيث لا يتجاوز 30 بالمئة من الطاقة الاستيعابية للمكان، وضرورة ارتداء الكمامة، وإظهار تطبيق “احتراز” قبل الدخول، مع اتباع قواعد التباعد الاجتماعي.
ويتميز المعرض على مدى أيام تنظيمه، ببرنامج فعاليات متنوعة، منها 10 جلسات نقاشية و4 عروض أزياء وجلسة تعريفية وورشتي عمل ، تستضيف كل منها مجموعة من المعنيين والمتخصصين.
ويعتمد الشعار الجديد للمعرض طريقة عصرية وتجريدية في كتابته بالخط العربي وسط إطار كلاسيكي ذي طابع عصري. وبالرغم من أنه لا يتضمن سوى كلمة واحدة وقصيرة ، فإنها تعبر عن رسالة المعرض بطريقة إبداعية رائعة، تمزج مزجاً دقيقاً بين فن الخط وفن الطباعة. كما يستخدم الشعار لمسات متباينة تجمع بين الخط الرفيع والسميك بما يعكس الأناقة ويحافظ على اللون العنابي الأصلي للعلامة التجارية.
