Minister of Commerce and Industry Opens Qatar International Boat Show

Doha: Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari opened the seventh edition of Qatar International Boat Show (QAWARIB 2020), at the Pearl-Qatar on Monday evening.
Organized by Al Mannai Plus Events, the event will run till Friday with the participation of 32 exhibitors among mega manufacturers of yachts and small and medium boats, most of them are local manufacturers showcasing more than 150 different international brands, marine spare parts and accessories, in addition to 100% Qatari-made yachts and boats with advanced technology.
In press remarks following the opening, HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry commended the keenness of local manufacturers on taking part in this year’s edition, which reflects the rapid growth of the marine industries sector in the State of Qatar, mainly the small and medium ships and luxury yachts manufacturing sector.
HE Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari noted that Qatar International Boat Show is an important forum for establishing new investment partnerships with major international companies specialized in this field, and it contributes to encouraging investors and businessmen to invest in the marine industries sector and expand into regional and global markets.
In a related context, Milaha showcases in its booth in the Show a wide range of spare parts and high-quality services related to yacht manufacturing industry and original equipment specially designed for this purpose, in addition to various boat-maintenance reliable and innovative solutions which are available across the country.
By participating in this outstanding annual event, Milaha aims at contributing to positioning Qatar among the most vital and crucial regional hubs and attractive destinations for boat and yacht enthusiasts and owners, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 objectives, mainly economic diversification, development of specialized economic activities, stimulation of economic growth and ensuring a stable and sustained business environment.
The annual show, which is being held this year amid exceptional circumstances and strict precautionary measures due to COVID-19, is a safe and unique opportunity for boats and yachts enthusiasts as well as those interested in the marine industry, to explore the best practices, latest developments and integrated services in the maritime field locally and internationally.

الدوحة: تحت رعاية معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، افتتح سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري وزير التجارة والصناعة، مساء الأمس فعاليات النسخة السابعة من /معرض قطر الدولي للقوارب/ في جزيرة اللؤلؤة قطر.
ويستقطب المعرض، الذي يستمر حتى يوم /الجمعة/ المقبل، وتنظمه شركة /المناعي بلس إيفينتس/، 32 من كبرى الشركات العاملة في مجال الصناعات البحرية واليخوت والقوارب الصغيرة والمتوسطة، معظمها محلية، تعرض ما يزيد على 150 ماركة عالمية مختلفة وقطع الغيار والاكسسوارات البحرية، بالإضافة إلى يخوت وقوارب قطرية الصنع 100 بالمئة، وبتكنولوجيا متطورة.
وأشاد سعادة وزير التجارة والصناعة، في تصريح له عقب الافتتاح، بإقبال المصنعين المحليين على المشاركة في نسخة هذا العام، مشيرا إلى أن ذلك يترجم النمو السريع الذي شهده قطاع الصناعات البحرية في دولة قطر ولا سيما قطاع صناعة السفن الصغيرة والمتوسطة واليخوت الفاخرة.
ولفت سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري، إلى أن المعرض يعد ملتقى مهما لعقد شراكات استثمارية جديدة مع كبرى الشركات العالمية المتخصصة في هذا المجال، كما أنه يسهم في تشجيع المستثمرين ورجال الأعمال على الاستثمار في قطاع الصناعات البحرية والتوسع نحو الأسواق الإقليمية والعالمية.
وفي سياق ذي صلة، تعرض شركة /ملاحة/ في جناحها بالمعرض، مجموعة واسعة من قطع الغيار والخدمات عالية الجودة في مجال صناعة المعدات الأصلية المصممة خصيصا لليخوت، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الحلول المبتكرة والموثوقة الخاصة بصيانة السفن والمتوفرة في جميع أنحاء الدولة.
وتهدف ملاحة من مشاركتها في هذا الحدث السنوي البارز، للمساهمة في تعزيز مكانة دولة قطر كمركز بحري حيوي ووجهة سياحية جاذبة لعشاق ومالكي القوارب واليخوت في المنطقة، انسجاما مع أهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 في تنويع الاقتصاد وتطوير الأنشطة الاقتصادية المتخصصة وتحفيز النمو وضمان مناخ أعمال مستقر ومستدام.
