Sheikha Moza Presents QF “Akhlaquna and “Akhlaquna Junior” Awards

Doha: HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, crowned the winners of the third cycle of the “Akhlaquna Award” and the inaugural “Akhlaquna Junior Award”, at a special Akhlaquna Day ceremony in the Education City on Tuesday.

The Akhlaquna Award went to the student-led initiative “Yes, I Can,” developed by Noora Hassen Al Maslamani, Abdullah Ahmed Al Sada, Fahad Saeed Al Hamad, Roqayya Khan Khan, Ayub Mohammed Janahi, Ibrahim Aly El Feky, Abdullah Mohamed Al Ishaq, Shahed Salem Al Dosari, Nada Juma Aldos, and Ibrahim Yousef Dorzadeh, which aims to highlight the active role and contribution of people with disabilities. The team has organized numerous campaigns, including “With Thanks”, which highlighted the role of sanitary workers, and “Our Land”, which is designed to help protect Qatars environment.

The winners were decided by public voting and an expert jury, comprising Dr. Jassim Sultan, Director of Wijdan Cultural Center; Dr. Emad El-Din Shahin, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, a QF member; and Professor Mabrouk Zeid Elkheir, Director of the National Center for Research in Islamic Sciences and Civilization, Algeria.

Meanwhile, the Akhlaquna Junior winners for the Grades 1-3 category were Fatima Faisal Al Thani of Qatar Academy Al Wakra, Hemyen Hamad Al Kuwari of Athaayen Girls Primary School, and Faisal Abdalla Al Shahwani of Ali bin Abdullah Model School.

In the category for students in Grades 4-6, Fahad Masoud Nabina of Qatar Academy Al Wakra, Abdulla Rafea Al Ahbabi of Ali bin Abdullah Model School, and Al Hanouf Hassan Al Emadi of Qatar Academy Doha were named the winners, with the awards in the Grades 7-9 category going to Fatima Saad Mohammed Al Mohannadi of Qatar Academy Al Khor, Mariam Ameen Abdalaa Mohamed Abdalaa Ameen of Moza bint Mohammed Preparatory School, and Bhagath Krishnan of Birla Public School.

Giving the keynote speech at the Akhlaquna Day ceremony, with the audience for the event watching virtually and a number of stakeholders in attendance, Dr. Mohammed Nowaimi Al Hajri, Assistant Professor of International Relations, Qatar University, said: “The most important task in our world today is to raise children who have trust and honesty. We also must be aware of the importance of the pivotal role of families and societies in bringing up our youth in an environment that is built on honesty and faithfulness, through our words and actions, so that this is reflected in the souls of our children. This responsibility is embodied in Akhlaquna and Akhlaquna Junior, with the goal of strengthening the role of society in cultivating honesty as a way of life for our youth”.

“I sincerely hope that our youth take this opportunity to explore these concepts, enhancing honesty in themselves first as a step toward demonstrating it with others. The respect and dignity of any person lies in their sincerity and honesty, and having a genuine awareness of what honesty means and how it is connected to trust and integrity in our words and actions, showing us a pathway that we can follow throughout our lives,” Dr. Al Hajri added.

The Akhlaquna Award was established by Qatar Foundation (QF) in 2017 to recognize members of Qatars community who demonstrate social awareness, compassion, and thoughtfulness toward others, improve society through the example they set, and become leaders and agents of change. The award aims to emphasize the importance of the four values of mercy, honesty, generosity, and tolerance. This year, QF also launched Akhlaquna Junior, designed to honor school students who uphold the morals and values that Akhlaquna seeks to promote and cultivate.

الدوحة: كرمت صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر، رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، الفائزين بجوائز /أخلاقنا/ و/براعم الأخلاق/، وذلك خلال احتفالية /يوم أخلاقنا/ التي نظمتها مؤسسة قطر، اليوم، بالمدينة التعليمية.

وقد فاز بالنسخة الثالثة من جائزة أخلاقنا لهذا العام مشروع /أنا أقدر/ الذي يهدف إلى تصحيح المفاهيم الخاطئة المتعلقة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، والاحتفاء بما تقدمه هذه الفئة للمجتمع، ولهذه الغاية، كان الفريق الفائز قد نظم العديد من الحملات ذات الصلة، منها حملة /مشكورين/ لتسليط الضوء على الدور الفاعل لعمال النظافة، وحملة /ديرتنا/ للحفاظ على البيئة القطرية.

وقد تم اختيار المشروع الفائز بجائزة /أخلاقنا/، بالتصويت، مضافا إليه نقاط أعضاء لجنة التحكيم، والمؤلفة من الدكتور جاسم السلطان مدير مركز الوجدان الحضاري، والدكتور عماد الدين شاهين، عميد كلية الدراسات الإسلامية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة، عضو مؤسسة قطر، والبروفيسور مبروك زيد الخير مدير المركز الوطني للبحوث في العلوم الإسلامية والحضارة بالجزائر.

وأعضاء فريق مبادرة /أنا أقدر/ هم: عبدالله أحمد السادة ونورة حسن المسلماني، وفهد سعيد الحمد، ورقية خان وزير سالم خان، وأيوب محمد أمين محمد جناحي، وإبراهيم علي علي الفقي، وعبدالله محمد آل إسحاق، وشهد سالم مشعى فراج الدوسري، وندى جمعة الدوس، وإبراهيم يوسف درزادة.

أما فيما يتعلق بجائزة /براعم الأخلاق/، فقد فاز ضمن الفئة العمرية لطلاب /الصف الأول -الصف الثالث/ كل من: فاطمة فيصل آل ثاني أكاديمية قطر- الوكرة، هميان حمد الكواري مدرسة الظعاين الابتدائية الإعدادية للبنات، فيصل عبدالله الشهواني مدرسة علي بن عبدالله النموذجية للبنين.

وعن الفئة العمرية المخصصة لطلاب /الصف الرابع- الصف السادس/ فاز كل من: فهد مسعود نابينا أكاديمية قطر- الوكرة، عبدالله رافع الأحبابي مدرسة علي بن عبدالله النموذجية، الهنوف حسن العمادي أكاديمية قطر-الدوحة.

وعن الفئة العمرية لطلاب /الصف السابع-التاسع/ فاز كل من: فاطمة سعد المهندي أكاديمية قطر- الخور، مريم أمين عبدالله أمين مدرسة موزة بنت محمد الإعدادية، بهاجات كريشنان مدرسة بيرالا الشعبية.

من جهته، قال الدكتور محمد نويمي الهاجري، أستاذ العلوم السياسية المساعد بجامعة قطر، والذي ألقى كلمة رئيسية في حفل /يوم أخلاقنا/، بحضور عدد محدود من المعنيين ومتابعة الجمهور من خلال البث المباشر عبر شبكة الإنترنت: “دعونا بداية نتفق أن أسمى الوظائف في عالمنا اليوم هي وظيفة تربية الأبناء تربية عنوانها الصدق والأمانة، كما أننا أيضا يجب أن ندرك جيدا أهمية الأسرة والمجتمع والدور العظيم المنوط بهما في نشأة شبابنا في بيئة عنوانها الصدق والأمانة في القول وفي الفعل، والذي بلا شك ينعكس في نفوس أبنائنا، وتجسيدا لهذه المسؤولية أتت هذه المبادرة المباركة مبادرة /أخلاقنا/ و/براعم الأخلاق/ لتعزز دور المجتمع في زرع الصدق كمنهاج حياة لدى شبابنا”.

وتابع الدكتور الهاجري: “أتمنى صادقا من شبابنا البحث والاستكشاف في مضامين هذه المفاهيم التي تعزز أولا من الصدق في أنفسنا قبل أن تكون مع الآخرين، فهيبة المرء ووقاره في صدقه وأمانته، إن الإدراك الحقيقي لأهمية ما يعنيه الصدق كمفهوم، يجسد في أنفسنا معاني كثيرة كالثقة والاستقامة في القول والفعل، ويجعلنا جميعا لا نحيد أبدا ما حيينا”.

وتتمحور جائزة /أخلاقنا/ و/براعم الأخلاق/ حول أربع ركائز أساسية وهي: الرحمة والتسامح والصدق والكرم، كما تهدف لتكريم النشء والشباب الذين يجسدون مثالا يحتذى بطموحهم لنشر تلك الأخلاق عبر مشروعات أطلقوها لخدمة مجتمعهم ووطنهم، وتلهم الآخرين للقيام بذلك. كذلك، تعكس مبادرة /أخلاقنا/ سعي مؤسسة قطر لتمكين الأطفال والشباب من إحداث التأثير الإيجابي في مجتمعاتهم، وتعزيز التضامن الاجتماعي، وحثهم على التعاطف مع الآخرين، وأن يكونوا قدوة ومثالا يحتذى به وقادة الغد وصناعا للتغيير.

وتؤكد جائزة /أخلاقنا/ و/براعم الأخلاق/ على الترابط بين الأخلاق والمعرفة والحياة المثمرة، وتعكس الصلات الوطيدة بين الصفات الحميدة والسلوكيات الأخلاقية التي تعتبر محركا رئيسيا للتقدم والتطور الاجتماعي.
