وتتكون سلسلة الجبال من أبراج من الصخور المتآكلة، ما يمنحها هذا المظهر الفريد، ويبلغ طول بعض الأبراج 4100 قدم، مع قمم من الحجر الرملي يبلغ عمرها 300 مليون سنة.
خليج ها لونج – فيتنام
الجمال الطبيعي لخليج ها لونج يجعله واحدًا من المواقع السياحية الأولى في فيتنام، وهو مسجل بقائمة التراث العالمي الطبيعي لليونسكو.
وأفضل طريقة لرؤية أبراج ها لونج المذهلة من الحجر الجيري، هي عن طريق القوارب، وهناك رحلات بحرية تمكث في الخليج بالسياح طوال الليل، للتمتع بالمنظر الأسطوري ليلًا.
شواطئ اللمعان – المالديف
ظاهرة طبيعية يمكن مشاهدتها في جزر المالديف، وهي عبارة عن نقاط صغيرة مضيئة تظهر على شواطئ إحدى الجزر في البلاد، وفي واقع الأمر عبارة عن انعكاس لضوء النجوم، وليس مصدرها من المياه كما تبدو.
جزيرة جيجو – كوريا الجنوبية
تفتخر جزيرة جيجو بأعلى جبل في كوريا الجنوبية «هالاسان»، وهو بركان خامد يبلغ ارتفاعه نحو 6400 قدم فوق مستوى سطح البحر.
وتشتهر الجزيرة أيضًا بأنابيب الحمم البركانية المذهلة، والكهوف التي شكلتها الحمم البركانية الباردة.
الموجة – أريزونا
في ولاية أريزونا الأمريكية يمكن مشاهدة تشكيل من الحجر الرملي الجميل الملون، والذي يشبه إلى حد ما أمواج البشر في الشكل وليس اللون، وهو من العجائب الطبيعية على كوكبنا.
مضيق تاكاتشيو – اليابان
هو بالفعل نسخة حيّة من الفن الياباني، حيث يمتاز هذا المضيق بجدرانه التي يبلغ ارتفاعها مائة متر من صخور البازلت التي ترتفع فوق المياه الزرقاء والخضراء لنهر غوكاس.
كما وتتزين المنحدرات العمودية الرمادية بالأشجار والطحالب مما يخلق جوًا سحريًا ليس له مثيل.
جزئيًا وعلى طول القناة الضيقة، يتدفق شلال Minainotaki من الأعلى مما يمنح هذا المضيق المزيد من الجاذبية والسحر.
وادي نهر بلايد – جنوب إفريقيا
إذا رغبت بمشاهدة المناظر الطبيعية المدهشة والألوان المتميزة، عليك الذهاب في نزهة على طول نهر بلايد الواقع في جنوب إفريقيا، على ارتفاع أكثر من 2600 قدم.
هذا الوادي المعروف بجيولوجيته الفريدة، والتي تسمح بوجود النباتات والحيوانات المتنوعة.
