Ministry: Possible Renewal of Commercial Registrations and Licenses for Maximum Period of 5 Years

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced that it is now possible to renew commercial registrations and licenses for a period of one year, or other durations up to a maximum of five years (optional), through the Single Window or the Ministry’s website, provided that the validity period of the commercial license is identical to that of the commercial registration.
The initiative falls within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to regulate the business environment, promote investment and streamline procedures for investors.
The Ministry said in a statement that the decision is in line with Cabinet decision No. (31) of 2019 on determining the registration period in the Commercial Register, and decision No. (30) of 2019 on determining the licensing period for commercial and industrial outlets, similar public facilities and street vendors.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry had previously announced that it would take the necessary measures towards reducing the period required to renew commercial licenses for outlets. Investors can now immediately renew such licenses for stores, compared to the 48-hour period required prior to the decision.
The latest service is part of a number of smart electronic services provided by the Ministry to improve the business ecosystem in Qatar, and to streamline services for the Ministry’s clients, thereby encouraging investment and trade activities in the State of Qatar.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة عن إمكانية تجديد كل من السجل التجاري والرخصة التجارية لمدة سنة أو مدد أخرى مماثلة وبحد أقصى لمدة خمس سنوات (اختياري)، وذلك من خلال النافذة الواحدة والموقع الإلكتروني للوزارة شريطة أن تكون مدة سريان الرخصة التجارية مطابقة لمدة سريان السجل التجاري وليست مختلفة عنها.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان، إن هذه الخطوة تأتي في إطار جهود الوزارة لتنظيم بيئة الأعمال وتشجيع الاستثمار، وتقديم تسهيلات للمستثمرين، وتماشياً مع قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (31) لسنة 2019 بتحديد مدة القيد في السجل التجاري، والقرار رقم (30) لسنة 2019 بتحديد مدة ترخيص المحال التجارية والصناعية والعامة المماثلة والباعة المتجولين.
وكانت وزارة التجارة والصناعة قد أعلنت في وقت سابق عن اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة نحو تقليص مدة تجديد الرخصة التجارية للمحال التجارية، حيث أصبح بإمكان المستثمرين تجديد الرخص فوريًا بدلًا من 48 ساعة التي كان يستغرقها التجديد سابقا.
وتأتي هذه الخدمة ضمن عدد من الخدمات الإلكترونية الذكية التي تقدمها الوزارة للارتقاء بمنظومة خدمات الأعمال في دولة قطر، والإسهام في تيسير وسرعة إنجاز الخدمات المقدمة للمتعاملين مع الوزارة، ما يسهم في تشجيع مناخ الاستثمار والتجارة في دولة قطر.
