فعاليات مكتبة قطر الوطنية تسلط الضوء على التراث والحرف التقليدية

Qatar National Library (QNL) opened its doors to the public with limited services in July, but for the safety of patrons during at this current time, the Library continue to run more events than ever online on a wide range of stimulating subjects to stir the senses.
On August 10, join the Library to learn about accessible apps for parents to support children with autism. These provide visual cues to aid communication and helping children learn numbers, colors, shapes and sizes. These apps can help kids to learn to better identify objects and practice social exchanges.
Sign up on August 11 online introduction to Al Nagda, one of the oldest Gulf heritage crafts. Learn about the art of embroidering local fabrics and costumes with silver and golden wires to add a smooth artistic and aesthetic touch.
The workshop explains the concept of Al Nagda and its history and important role in Gulf culture. It will show the tools and fabrics that were used in sewing it in the past, along with a presentation of drawings and types of Al Nagda designs.
The workshop highlights how Al Nagda is used in adding artistic touches to Al Malfaa (women’s headcovers) and Al-Bokhnoq (a sort of scarf that covers head, neck and shoulders, mostly used by young women).
The workshop will also answer questions about how the use of Al nNagda has evolved recently and how this traditional craft has been affected by modernity.
On August 12, the Library will run a lecture entitled Preventive Measures to Preserve Arabic Manuscripts: Reality and Prospects, held in collaboration with the National Laboratory for Manuscript and Parchment Preservation and Restoration in Tunisia.
The webinar includes three lectures by experts from the National Institute of Heritage in Tunisia, and is part of a series of events organised by the IFLA Regional Center for Preservation and Conservation (PAC) at the Library.
On August 13 can learn how the current pandemic has been a catalyst for change in library services around the world. It will be joined by librarians from Qatar, the Arab region, Europe, Southeast Asia and the US as they share their experience with providing services during the pandemic, as well their perspectives on the future of library services.
Panelists include Dr. Milena Dobreva from UCL-Qatar, Randa Chidiac from Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon and Alicia Yeo from Singapore National Library.
On August 15 can register for our workshop on the impact of COVID-19 on Sustainable Development Goals, the blueprint by the UN which aims to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Presented by SDGeneration Network and Greener Future, the webinar will introduce the goals and how we can achieve them, as well as discussing the impact that COVID-19 has had. We’ll also discuss how our daily habits can help us excel in achieving these goals.
The Library will run a lecture on August 18 looking at the textual structure of Arabic manuscript, led by Mahmoud Zaki, the Library’s Manuscript Librarian.
This is the third of a series of lectures and talks providing readings of rare historical works from our Heritage Library’s collection of manuscripts.

تقيم مكتبة قطر الوطنية خلال شهر أغسطس المقبل مجموعة من الفعاليات المتنوعة التي تركز فيها على جوانب من التراث الخليجي والمخطوطات العربية وكذلك الحرف التقليدية ومهارات التواصل مع الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة وتعزيز أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وقد فتحت مكتبة قطر الوطنية في منتصف يوليو الجاري أبوابها مجددا لاستقبال الجمهور بخدمات محدودة، ولكنها ستواصل تقديم المزيد من الفعاليات التي تثري معارف ومهارات الجمهور عن بعد عبر المنصات الرقمية ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حفاظًا على سلامة رواد المكتبة وزائريها والعاملين بها في ظل ظروف الجائحة الحالية.
وتتضمن فعاليات شهر أغسطس المقبل في مكتبة قطر الوطنية العديد من الفعاليات منها ورشة تقام في 10 أغسطس، حول التطبيقات المفيدة التي تستطيع عائلات الأطفال من ذوي التوحد الاستعانة بها لدعم أبنائهم، وهي تطبيقات تقدم إشارات بصرية تساعد في التواصل وتعلم الأرقام والألوان والأشكال والأحجام، كما تساعد التطبيقات أطفال التوحد على التعرف بشكل أفضل على الأشياء وتعلم مهارات التواصل والحوار الاجتماعي.
وفي 11 أغسطس تقدم المكتبة ورشة حول حرفة “النقدة”، وتعد من أقدم المهن اليدوية التراثية في الخليج، وهي فن تطريز الملابس والأزياء المحلية، خاصة الأقمشة الخفيفة، بالخيوط الذهبية والفضية لإضافة لمسة فنية وجمالية عليها، وتشرح الورشة مفهوم حرفة “النقدة” وتاريخها وأهميتها التراثية ودورها في الثقافة الخليجية، كما تسلط الضوء على الأدوات والأقمشة المستخدمة في خياطتها قديمًا، إلى جانب عرض لرسومات وأنواع التصميمات المستخدمة في حرفة النقدة، والتعرف على كيفية استخدام النقدة في تطريز الملفع والبُخنق، وكيفية تطور استخدام النقدة حديثًا وتأثرها بالحداثة.
وتحت عنوان “التدابير الوقائية للحفاظ على المخطوطات العربية: الواقع والآفاق”، تنظم المكتبة ندوة في 12 أغسطس بالتعاون مع المخبر الوطني لصيانة وترميم المخطوطات في تونس، وذلك ضمن سلسلة من الفعاليات والمحاضرات التي تنظمها المكتبة في إطار دورها كمركز إقليمي للحفاظ على المواد التراثية في الدول العربية والشرق الأوسط، وهو دور يهدف إلى إنشاء شبكة مهنية من المتخصصين في مجال الحفاظ على التراث الوثائقي في المنطقة العربية والاطلاع على التجارب الناجحة من أجل التعلم وتبادل الخبرات، وتضم هذه الندوة ثلاث محاضرات يلقيها عدد من الخبراء المتخصصين من المعهد الوطني للتراث بتونس: الأولى بعنوان “التدابير الوقائية الأساسية للحفاظ على التراث المخطوط”، والثانية هي “دور المبنى في الحفاظ على التراث الوثائقي”، والثالثة عنوانها “رقمنة المخطوطات العربية: إشكاليات الحاضر والآفاق المستقبلية”.
وفي 13 أغسطس تقام ندوة حول مستقبل خدمات المكتبات في فترة ما بعد كورونا يشارك فيها عدد من أخصائيي المكتبات والمعلومات من قطر والعالم العربي وأوروبا وجنوب شرق آسيا والولايات المتحدة، كما تقيم المكتبة في 15 أغسطس بالتعاون مع شبكة الأهداف المستدامة للشباب ومستقبل أخضر، ورشة عبر الإنترنت تهدف إلى توعية الشباب بأهداف التنمية المستدامة وأهمية دورهم في تحقيقها، ومناقشة تأثير جائحة كورونا على الأهداف المستدامة بالإضافة إلى الحديث عن كيفية مساهمة سلوكياتنا اليومية في تحقيق هذه الأهداف في ظل الظروف الراهنة.
وتنظم المكتبة في 18 أغسطس محاضرة بعنوان “النصوص المُصاحبة للمخطوط: قراءات في مخطوطات مكتبة قطر الوطنية”، وفيها يقدم محمود زكي، أخصائي المخطوطات بالمكتبة، تحليلاً لبنية المخطوط الإسلامي ومكوناته، مع التركيز على المكوّنات النصيَّة، وهي المحاضرة الثالثة ضمن سلسلة محاضرات وجلسات تقدم فيها المكتبة قراءات لمجموعة من المخطوطات التاريخية النادرة بمكتبة قطر الوطنية.
