UDC posts net profit of QR101m

United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari public shareholding company and the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Island announced its financial results for the first half of 2020, reporting net profit of QR101m over revenues of QR563m. The net profit attributable to the equity shareholders was QR87m. UDC’s basic earnings per share stood at QR 0.025.

In spite of the current difficult circumstances, UDC was able to maintain residential and commercial occupancy rates on The Pearl-Qatar while carrying out construction works safely at The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Island and achieving development milestones according to the Company’s Business Plan. UDC’s strategy was therefore proven effective in weathering the economic repercussions of the pandemic and will ensure UDC’s sustainable growth and the creation of new opportunities and revenue sources over the long term. In this context, UDC continued executing the construction activities in Gewan Island, following the awarding of contracts worth QR1.5bn for the Island’s mixed-use buildings, landscape and infrastructure works.

أعلنت الشركة المتحدة للتنمية، المطور الرئيسي لجزيرتيّ اللؤلؤة – قطر وجيوان، عن نتائجها المالية للنصف الأول من عام 2020، حيث سجلت أرباحاً صافية بلغت 101 مليون ريال قطري وإيرادات بقيمة 563 مليون ريال قطري. في حين بلغ صافي الربح العائد إلى مالكي الشركة 87 مليون ريال قطري، وبلغ العائد الأساسي للسهم 0.025 ريال قطري.

وعلى الرغم من الظروف الصعبة السائدة حالياً، تمكنت الشركة المتحدة للتنمية من الحفاظ على نسب الإشغال السكني والتجاري في جزيرة اللؤلؤة-قطر بينما تلتزم الشركة بمزاولة الأعمال التطويرية بأمان في جزيرتيّ اللؤلؤة-قطر وجيوان وإنجاز مراحل البناء بحسب خطة العمل المتّبعة والتي أثبتت فعاليتها في مواجهة التداعيات الاقتصادية للجائحة، ما يضمن النمو المستدام للشركة وخلق فرص جديدة ومصادر إيرادات على المدى الطويل. وفي هذا السياق، واصلت الشركة المتحدة للتنمية تنفيذ الأعمال الإنشائية في جزيرة جيوان على أثر إسناد عقود بقيمة 1.5 مليار ريال قطري لإنشاء المباني المتعددة الاستخدام والمساحات الخضراء وأعمال البنية التحتية في الجزيرة.

تتميز الشركة المتحدة للتنمية بأنها إحدى الشركات المساهمة العامة الرائدة في دولة قطر. وتتمثل رسالتها في تحديد المشاريع طويلة الأجل والاستثمار فيها للمساهمة في مسيرة التنمية بدولة قطر وتحقيق فائدة للمساهمين. وتأسست الشركة المتحدة للتنمية في عام 1999، وأُدرجت في بورصة قطر خلال شهر يونيو 2003. تمتلك الشركة رأس مال مصرح به قيمته 3.5 مليار ريال قطري، وأصول إجمالية قيمتها 18.4 مليار ريال قطري كما في 30 يونيو 2020.

وتشمل نشاطات الشركة المتحدة للتنمية عدداً من القطاعات الاستثمارية الحيوية، من ضمنها التطوير العقاري، إدارة الممتلكات، مشاريع البنى التحتية والمرافق العامة والمشاريع المرتبطة بالأنشطة البحرية والضيافة.
