Ashghal to convert Fereej Abdul Aziz intersection to temporary roundabout
أشغال تحول تقاطع فريج عبد العزيز لدوار مؤقت
The Peninsula – Doha:
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced the conversion of Fereej Abdul Aziz Intersection known as Hafsa Intersection on B Ring Road into a temporary roundabout while keeping two lanes open in all directions.
In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented on Thursday, July 16, 2020 for a period of 6 months to enable expansion and upgrading works on Fereej Abdul Aziz Intersection and installation of new traffic lights, as part of the B Ring Road Development Project.
The Public Works Authority had previously announced a temporary closure on the B Ring Road from Al Doha Al Jadeeda Intersection to Fereej Abdelaziz Intersection, thus, for road users coming from Al Matar Street, they can use Salah Al Deen Street then turn left towards Ibn Al Awwam Street then right towards B Ring Road to get to Fereej Abdelaziz temporary Roundabout and continue to reach their destinations, as shown in the attached map.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and requested road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.

تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تحويل تقاطع فريج عبد العزيز المعروف بتقاطع حفصة على الطريق الدائري الثاني إلى دوار مؤقت مع الإبقاء على مسارين مفتوحين في جميع الاتجاهات.
وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور، سيبدأ هذا التغيير المروري اعتباراً من يوم الخميس 16 يوليو2020 ولمدة ستة أشهر، بهدف إتاحة المجال لتنفيذ أعمال توسعة وتطوير على تقاطع فريج عبد العزيز، وتركيب إشارات ضوئية جديدة، وذلك ضمن مشروع تطوير الطريق الدائري الثاني.
وحيث إن الهيئة قد أعلنت سابقاً عن إغلاق الطريق الدائري الثاني في الاتجاه من تقاطع الدوحة الجديدة حتى تقاطع فريج عبد العزيز، يستطيع القادمون من شارع المطار استخدام شارع صلاح الدين ثم الانعطاف منه يساراً نحو شارع ابن العوام ثم يميناً نحو الطريق الدائري الثاني للوصول إلى دوار فريج عبد العزيز المؤقت والمواصلة نحو وجهاتهم، كما هو موضح بالخريطة المرفقة.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
