Retail outlets in malls, restaurants, public parks reopen

Doha: Having remained closed for about three months, the parks, retail outlets in malls, shops and restaurants reopened yesterday for shoppers and visitors, as the second phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions began came into effect.

Many people were seen visiting Souq Waqif, Central Market, Museums and The Pearl-Qatar and other public places, The Peninsula observed.

The visitors and shoppers were also following preventive measures such wearing masks and observing social distancing, in addition of cooperating with security workers at the entrances to malls and shops.

Qatar’s Government Communications Office, in a tweet, advised people that with beginning of the second phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions which started yesterday every member of Qatar’s community should continue to take the required precautions, supporting the government’s efforts and ensuring this phase’s success.

Also, the easing of restrictions does not mean the virus has disappeared. All members of society should continue to take precautions and follow recommended guidelines to ensure the successful implementation of the gradual lifting of the restrictions imposed in the State of Qatar, with the aim of returning to normal life.

The second phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions included reopening of parks and beaches as well as corniche for people of all ages. Public and private gatherings are now allowed but limited to five people only.

Also, libraries and museums have reopened with limited capacity and limited working hours.

الدوحة : بعد أن ظلت مغلقة لنحو ثلاثة أشهر، أعيد فتح الحدائق ومنافذ البيع بالتجزئة في مراكز التسوق والمحلات التجارية والمطاعم أمس أمام المتسوقين والزوار، مع بدء تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من الرفع التدريجي للقيود.

شوهد العديد من الناس يزورون سوق واقف والسوق المركزي والمتاحف ولؤلؤة قطر وغيرها من الأماكن العامة، كما لاحظت (ذا بينينسولا).

كما كان الزوار والمتسوقون يتبعون إجراءات وقائية مثل ارتداء الكمامات ومراقبة التباعد الاجتماعي، بالإضافة إلى التعاون مع العاملين الأمنيين عند مداخل المراكز التجارية والمحلات التجارية.

ونصح مكتب الاتصالات الحكومية في قطر، في تغريدة على تويتر، الناس بأنه مع بداية المرحلة الثانية من الرفع التدريجي للقيود التي بدأت أمس، يجب على كل فرد من أبناء المجتمع القطري الاستمرار في اتخاذ الاحتياطات المطلوبة، ودعم جهود الحكومة وضمان نجاح هذه المرحلة.

كما أن تخفيف القيود لا يعني اختفاء الفيروس. ينبغي على جميع أفراد المجتمع مواصلة اتخاذ الاحتياطات واتباع المبادئ التوجيهية الموصى بها لضمان التنفيذ الناجح للرفع التدريجي للقيود المفروضة في دولة قطر، بهدف العودة إلى الحياة الطبيعية.

وشملت المرحلة الثانية من الرفع التدريجي للقيود إعادة فتح الحدائق والشواطئ وكذلك الكورنيش للناس من جميع الأعمار. ويسمح الآن بالتجمعات العامة والخاصة ولكنها تقتصر على خمسة أشخاص فقط.

كما أعيد فتح المكتبات والمتاحف بقدرة محدودة وساعات عمل محدودة.
