Kuwait bans all types of visas for Egyptians until further notice

On Sunday, the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, quoted a local security source as saying that the Ministry of Interior had stopped issuing all types of visas to Egyptians.
The newspaper said, according to the source, that the decision does not include those who have residency within the country who are Egyptians, and who have the right to return to the country.
This comes, despite Cairo’s announcement today, that it is free of infection with the Coronavirus, after confirming the recovery of the only case diagnosed with the disease.
But last Thursday, the French authorities announced that two people contracted the disease after returning from Egypt, before raising the number the next day to 6 cases.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, “The decision includes stopping the issuance of visits of all kinds, whether they are family, tourism, commercial or government, as well as stopping the Visa” joining the family “and” work. “
The sources pointed out that the number of countries covered by the decision increased to 8 countries, namely Egypt, Iran, Iraq, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand and Italy.
The number of confirmed cases of “corona” in Kuwait reached 45.
نقلت صحيفة القبس الكويتية، الأحد، عن مصدر أمني محلي قوله إن وزارة الداخلية أوقفت، إصدار جميع أنواع التأشيرات للمصريين.
وقالت الصحيفة طبقاً للمصدر، إن القرار لا يشمل من لديهم إقامات داخل البلاد من المصريين، ومن حقهم العودة إلى البلاد.
يأتي ذلك، رغم إعلان القاهرة، اليوم، خلوها من الإصابات بفيروس كورونا، بعد تأكيد شفاء الحالة الوحيدة المشخصة للإصابة بالمرض.
لكن الخميس الماضي، أعلنت السلطات الفرنسية، عن إصابة شخصين بالمرض بعد عودتهما من مصر، قبل أن ترفع العدد في اليوم التالي إلى 6 حالات.
ووفق الصحيفة الكويتية، فإن “القرار يشمل وقف إصدار الزيارات بأنواعها سواء أكانت عائلية أو سياحية أو تجارية أو حكومية، وكذلك وقف فيز “الالتحاق بعائل” و”العمل”.
وأوضحت المصادر، أن عدد الدول المشمولة بالقرار ارتفع إلى 8 دول، وهي مصر وإيران والعراق والصين وهونغ كونغ وكوريا وتايلاند وإيطاليا”.
ووصل عدد الحالات المؤكد إصابتها بـ “كورونا” في الكويت لـ 45 حالة.
