Get ready for an enchanting evening as Qatar Foundation’s (QF) Showtime returns for its fifth edition on Wednesday, February 19, at 7 PM, at the Pre-University Education Theatre in Education City.
This year, 36 talented students from various QF schools will transport audiences down the Yellow Brick Road with their vibrant adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, titled “The Yellow Brick Road Adventure”. Organized by the Student Affairs and Community Engagement team at QF’s Pre-University Education (PUE), the production promises a captivating fusion of music, theater, and storytelling.
Beyond the dazzling performances, Showtime embodies QF’s vision of cultural enrichment and bilingual expression. The production weaves authentic Qatari cultural elements into its fabric while celebrating the Arabic language alongside English, reflecting a commitment to heritage, identity, and artistic innovation.
More than just a stage performance, Showtime is a creative launchpad for students, offering them an opportunity to explore their artistic potential, express their voices, and shine under the spotlight. استعدوا لليلة استثنائية تأخذكم في رحلة ساحرة، حيث تعود مسرحية “شو تايم” التابعة لمؤسسة قطر في نسختها الخامسة يوم الأربعاء 19 فبراير، الساعة 7 مساءً، على مسرح التعليم ما قبل الجامعي في المدينة التعليمية.
بمشاركة 36 طالبًا موهوبًا من مختلف مدارس مؤسسة قطر، يأخذنا العرض في مغامرة على الطريق الأصفر في نسخة موسيقية آسرة مستوحاة من الرواية الخالدة ساحر أوز العجيب، تحت عنوان “مغامرة الطريق الأصفر”. بتنظيم من فريق شؤون الطلاب والمشاركة المجتمعية في التعليم ما قبل الجامعي بمؤسسة قطر، يقدم العرض تجربة إبداعية تجمع بين الموسيقى، والمسرح، والسرد القصصي الحي.
لكن “شو تايم” ليس مجرد عرض مسرحي، بل هو انعكاس لرؤية مؤسسة قطر في تعزيز الهوية الثقافية والتنوع اللغوي، حيث يتناغم الإرث الثقافي القطري مع أداءٍ ثنائي اللغة يجمع بين العربية والإنجليزية، ليخلق تجربة فريدة تمزج بين الحداثة والأصالة.
إلى جانب الإبداع الفني، يفتح “شو تايم” الأبواب أمام الطلاب لاكتشاف قدراتهم الفنية، والتعبير عن أنفسهم، والتألق على خشبة المسرح، في رحلة تعلمية تعزز الثقة والابتكار.
