Qatar’s Final Supermoon of 2024

Qatar will witness the final supermoon of 2024 on Thursday evening, October 17. Residents can observe it with the naked eye from 5:00 PM until just before sunrise on Friday.

Dr. Bashir Marzouk from the Qatar Calendar House stated that this supermoon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual, as it will be only 357,400 km away from Earth. The previous supermoon was seen on September 17, 2024.

وذكر الدكتور بشير مرزوق من دار التقويم القطري أن القمر سيظهر أكبر بنسبة 14% وأكثر إضاءة بنسبة 30%، حيث سيكون على مسافة 357,400 كيلومتر من الأرض.
