Government Meeting Highlights – June, 2nd week

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan.

After the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi issued a statement summarizing the key outcomes.

1. Eid Greetings

• The Cabinet extended sincere Eid Al Adha greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, wishing him good health and wellness.
• Prayers were offered for further development and prosperity under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, as well as for the wellbeing of Qatar’s people and the Arab and Islamic nations.

2. Legislative Decisions

• Approved draft law amending provisions of Law No. (15) of 2011 on combating human trafficking, to be referred to the Shura Council.
• Approved draft Cabinet Decision establishing and forming the government warehouses inventory committee.
• Approved draft Cabinet Decision forming real estate development dispute resolution committees, in line with Law No. (6) of 2014.

3. Policy and Administrative Matters

• Approved draft Cabinet Decision amending provisions of Decision No. (33) of 2020 forming the minimum wages committee.
• Approved the restructuring of the Board of Directors of Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority.

4. International Engagements

• Qatar joined the World Economic Forum’s Global Coalition for Digital Safety.
• Approved draft agreements with the United Nations, Antigua and Barbuda, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Burundi.

5. Human Rights

• Reviewed the annual general report of the National Human Rights Committee, with appropriate decisions taken.

1. تهاني العيد

• رفع مجلس الوزراء أسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات إلى حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى، بمناسبة قرب حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك.
• الدعاء لصاحب السمو بموفور الصحة والعافية، ولمزيد من النماء والرخاء والازدهار لدولة قطر وشعبها في ظل القيادة الحكيمة لسموه، وللأمتين العربية والإسلامية بالخير واليمن والبركات.

2. القرارات التشريعية

• الموافقة على مشروع قانون بتعديل بعض أحكام القانون رقم (15) لسنة 2011 بشأن مكافحة الاتجار بالبشر، وإحالته إلى مجلس الشورى.
• الموافقة على مشروع قرار بإنشاء وتشكيل لجنة حصر المخازن الحكومية.
• الموافقة على مشروع قرار بتشكيل لجان فض منازعات التطوير العقاري، وفقًا لأحكام القانون رقم (6) لسنة 2014.

3. السياسات والإجراءات الإدارية

• الموافقة على مشروع قرار بتعديل بعض أحكام القرار رقم (33) لسنة 2020 بشأن تشكيل لجنة الحد الأدنى للأجور ونظام عملها وتحديد مكافآتها.
• الموافقة على إعادة تشكيل مجلس إدارة هيئة التنظيم بمركز قطر للمال.

4. المشاركة الدولية

• الانضمام إلى التحالف العالمي للسلامة الرقمية في المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي.
• الموافقة على مشاريع اتفاقيات مع الأمم المتحدة، أنتيغوا وباربودا، جمهورية الصين الشعبية، وجمهورية بوروندي.

5. حقوق الإنسان

• استعرض مجلس الوزراء التقرير السنوي العام للجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان، واتخذ القرار المناسب بشأنه.
