The Camel Racing Organizing Committee is preparing for the 2024 Summer Mafarid Festival at Al Shahaniya Racecourse, set to run from June 15 to September 7. The festival will feature 6 preliminary races and a final race, along with numerous surprises and valuable prizes for participants and spectators.

Race Details:

• Each preliminary race consists of 12 heats over a distance of 1500 meters.
• 4 additional heats for participating companies.
• Accompanying activities will be announced later.

Surprises and Prizes:

• Valuable prizes from supporting companies.
• The winner of the main camel race in the final will receive a trophy and a cash prize of 100,000 Qatari Riyals.
• A heritage race (marathon) starting from the second preliminary race over a distance of 2000 meters.
• Points for winners of the heritage race, with the highest scorer being honored on the final day.

Participation

Open to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries: Welcoming participants from various GCC countries.

Statistics

Number of Camels: Over 1200 camels have been registered so far, with the number expected to double in the coming days.

تواصل اللجنة المنظمة لسباقات الهجن استعداداتها لإقامة مهرجان المفاريد الصيفي 2024 في ميدان الشحانية، والذي سيبدأ في 15 يونيو ويستمر حتى 7 سبتمبر. يتميز المهرجان بإقامة 6 سباقات تمهيدية وسباق ختامي، بالإضافة إلى العديد من المفاجآت والجوائز القيمة للمشاركين والجماهير.

• كل سباق تمهيدي يتكون من 12 شوطًا لمسافة 1500 متر.

المفاجآت والجوائز:

• جوائز قيمة من الشركات الداعمة.
• الفائز بشوط البكار الرئيسي في السباق الختامي سيحصل على رمز وجائزة مالية قدرها 100 ألف ريال.
• سباق تراثي (ماراثون) يبدأ من السباق التمهيدي الثاني لمسافة 2000 متر.
• نقاط للفائزين في السباق التراثي وتكريم صاحب أكبر عدد من النقاط في اليوم الختامي.

المشاركة

• مفتوحة للأشقاء من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي: الترحيب بالمشاركين من مختلف الدول.

• عدد المطايا: تم ترصيص أكثر من 1200 مطية حتى الآن، مع توقع زيادة العدد خلال الأيام القادمة.
