Invest Qatar Showcases Real Estate Investment Opportunities at MIPIM 2024 in France

Doha: The Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (Invest Qatar) organized the Qatar Pavilion, for the second consecutive year, at MIPIM 2024, the world’s premier real estate event held in Cannes, France, in collaboration with Qatari Diar, United Development Company (UDC) and Ariane Real Estate, the Pavilion provided visitors with an exclusive glimpse of the latest real estate projects and investment opportunities in Qatar.

Invest Qatar’s participation aimed to showcase Qatar’s rapidly evolving real estate sector and its business-friendly regulations. Significant initiatives to streamline the real estate investment process for foreigners include establishing the Real Estate Regulatory Authority and enacting laws and reforms allowing non-Qatari real estate ownership. Additionally, Qatar maintains an unwavering commitment to enhancing its business environment and strengthening its position as a vibrant hub for investors.

In line with the national real estate promotion strategy, aimed at diversifying the economy and attracting foreign investment, Invest Qatar hosted a series of business engagements with industry leaders, developers, and investors. These networking meetings, held over the four-day event, facilitated connections between potential investors and Qatar’s leading real estate developers.

The positive response from international investors underscores their appreciation for the high-quality standards, integrated services, facilities, and the rewarding investment potential of our developments.” Established in 1990, MIPIM has become the annual meeting point for property developers, investors, city planners, and industry leaders from the international real estate space. This years edition drew over 6,000 investors and 22,500 delegates from more than 90 countries.

In a significant policy shift, Qatar opened its real estate market to non-Qataris, signaling a bold move to attract foreign investment and individuals by virtue of a Council of Ministers Resolution No.28 of 2020. This decision allows non-Qataris to own and use properties within 25 designated areas. This decision enables non-Qatari property ownership, including offices, shops, units and villas within residential complexes, as well as the development of real estate on designated plots of land. Additionally, it offers various residency privileges, such as residence permits, free healthcare, and education, provided in accordance with specific investment criteria.

الدوحة: نظمت وكالة ترويج الاستثمار في قطر للعام الثاني على التوالي، جناحا بمعرض العقارات الدولي 2024 “MIPIM”، الذي عقد مؤخرا في مدينة كان الفرنسية، بالتعاون مع شركات: الديار القطرية للاستثمار العقاري، والمتحدة للتنمية، وأريان العقارية، وذلك في إطار الاستراتيجية الوطنية للترويج العقاري التي تهدف إلى تنويع الاقتصاد وجذب الاستثمار الأجنبي.

وتهدف المشاركة في المعرض إلى تسليط الضوء على القطاع العقاري في قطر وأنظمته الملائمة للأعمال، والمبادرات المهمة التي تستهدف تسهيل عملية الاستثمار العقاري للأجانب، ومنها إنشاء الهيئة العامة لتنظيم القطاع العقاري، وسن القوانين والإصلاحات التي تسمح لغير القطريين بملكية العقارات، بالإضافة إلى ذلك، استمرار الدولة بتعزيز بيئة الأعمال وترسيخ مكانتها كمركز حيوي للمستثمرين.

وأفاد بيان لوكالة ترويج الاستثمار، اليوم، بأنها استضافت سلسلة من النقاشات مع رواد الصناعة والمطورين والمستثمرين، على مدار أربعة أيام، أتاحت الفرصة للمستثمرين المحتملين للتواصل مع رواد التطوير العقاري في قطر.

وأكد المهندس علي محمد العلي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الديار القطرية، أن المشاركة في المعرض ضمن جناح دولة قطر الذي نظمته وكالة ترويج الاستثمار، تعكس جهود الوكالة المستمرة في الترويج للاستثمارات القطرية على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي، مؤكدا حرصها على تعزيز مكانة دولة قطر كمستثمر رئيسي على الساحة العالمية، كما أن مشاركة شركة الديار القطرية تعكس أيضا اهتمامها بتعزيز حضورها العالمي في قطاع الاستثمار العقاري.

من جهته قال محمد العلي، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة أريان العقارية، إن العوائد المغرية واستقرار السوق العقاري في قطر يجعله مقصدا جذابا للاستثمار الأجنبي مدعوما بنمو اقتصادي محفز للاستثمار ومميزات الانتفاع بالعقار.

وأضاف، نحن سعداء بتسليط الضوء خلال مشاركتنا في المعرض على إمكانيات النمو الكبيرة للقطاع العقاري من خلال إبراز مشاريعنا التي شيدت لتعكس رؤيتنا وحرصنا على خلق مدن ومجتمعات متكاملة، ومستدامة، وبالتواصل مع رواد المجال والشركات العالمية، وتوفير المعلومات حول الفرص المتاحة في قطر”.

وفي السياق ذاته أشار فيصل ناصر العمادي، المدير التنفيذي للشؤون التجارية في الشركة المتحدة للتنمية، إلى أن المعرض يعد منصة مثالية لإبراز مشاريعنا وآفاق الاستثمار في جزيرتي اللؤلؤة وجيوان ودعم مساعي جذب المستثمرين الأجانب وتزويدهم بالعوائد التنافسية ومزايا الإقامة في قطر، لافتا إلى أن المستثمرين الدوليين أبدوا إعجابهم بمعايير الجودة العالية والخدمات المتكاملة والمرافق، والإمكانيات الاستثمارية المجزية لمشاريعنا”.

جدير بالذكر أن المعرض الدولي للعقارات، الذي تأسس عام 1990، أصبح منتدى للالتقاء السنوي للمطورين العقاريين والمستثمرين ومخططي المدن وقادة الصناعة في العالم، وقد شهدت نسخة هذا العام مشاركة 6 آلاف مستثمر، و22,500 مندوب من أكثر من 90 دولة.

وشهدت دولة قطر تحولا كبيرا في السياسات المرتبطة بالقطاع العقاري، حيث فتحت سوق العقارات أمام غير القطريين بموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (28) لسنة 2020، ما مثل خطوة محورية لجذب الاستثمار الأجنبي والأفراد الساعين لتملك العقارات في الدولة، حيث أتاح لغير القطريين إمكانية تملك العقارات والانتفاع بها في 25 منطقة محددة. تشمل معايير تملك غير القطريين للعقارات حيازة المكاتب والمحلات التجارية والوحدات والفلل داخل المجمعات السكنية، فضلا عن تطوير العقارات على قطع الأراضي المخصصة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، توفر هذه الإصلاحات مزايا متنوعة تتعلق بالإقامة، مثل تصاريح الإقامة والرعاية الصحية المجانية والتعليم، التي تعطى وفقا لمعايير استثمار محددة.
