HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Highlights from Qatar’s Cabinet Meeting

1. New Disability Law:

   • Objective: Ensure equal rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities.
   • Replacing Law No. (2) of 2004.
   • Key Goals: Full participation in society, prohibition of discrimination, promotion of dignity and autonomy, and respect for children’s rights.

2. Anti-Corruption Measures:

   • Approval of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention on Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation.

3. International Cooperation:

   • Agreements:
     • Cooperation in emergency situations with Armenia.
     • Memorandum of Understanding on veterinary quarantine with Romania.
   • Aim: Enhance collaboration in various fields for mutual benefit.

4. Decision Reviews:

   • Annual report of the Permanent Population Committee.
   • Report on the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons.
   • Participation reports in the Qatar-Kazakhstan Business Roundtable and Global Forum for Food and Agriculture.

  • الهدف: تعزيز التعاون في مختلف المجالات للمنفعة المتبادلة.
