Ministry of Labour: Work Permits Department Received 34,974 Applications in February 2024

Doha: The Ministry of Labour has released the monthly statistical bulletin for February 2024. The statistical bulletin showed that the Work Permits Department received about 34,974 applications, including 4,931 for new recruitment, 25,460 for general work permits (extension of personal number), and 1,218 for special work permits (sponsorship of relatives / Gulf citizens / investors / property beneficiaries, etc.), while the total number of applications for profession modification was 3,365.
Regarding the inspection visits to labour recruitment offices, the statistical bulletin reflected 253 inspection visits on recruitment offices, 248 of which ended without any notices, issuing one warning to remove a violation, and banning 4 companies.
The Labour Inspection Department carried out intensive inspection campaigns during the past February to monitor the compliance of establishments with the laws and ministerial decisions concerned with regulating the labour market in the country, with a total of 4,599 inspection visits in various areas, resulting in issuing warnings to 605 companies to remove violations, while the number of violation reports against companies was 717, and the number of inspection visits on work sites and workers’ housing was about 1,675, distributed over 1,303 visits to work sites and 372 visits to workers’ accommodations.
Regarding labour complaints, the statistical bulletin showed that the Labour Disputes Department received 2,212 complaints, of which 390 were settled, and 172 were referred to the Labour Disputes Resolution Committees. The Labour Disputes Department also received 67 reports from the public, all of which were resolved.
According to the monthly statistical bulletin regarding the Labour Disputes Settlement Committees, the number of cases referred to the committees during the last month was about 1,422, and the total number of decisions issued by the Labour Disputes Settlement Committees stood at 572.
As for work contracts, the statistical bulletin showed that the Labour Relations Department received about 65,888 applications for the ratification of employment contracts, while the number of applications for workers’ secondment reached 5,911.

الدوحة: أظهرت النشرة الإحصائية التي أصدرتها وزارة العمل لشهر فبراير الماضي، استقبال إدارة تراخيص العمل بالوزارة لنحو 34974 طلبا، منها 4931 طلبا للاستقدام الجديد، و25460 طلبا لتصاريح العمل العامة (تمديد الرقم الشخصي)، و1218 طلبا لتصاريح العمل الخاصة (كفالة ذويهم / خليجي / مستثمر / منتفع بعقار وغيرها ، فيما بلغ العدد الإجمالي لطلبات تعديل المهنة 3365 طلبا.
وعلى صعيد الزيارات التفتيشية على مكاتب استقدام العمالة، أظهرت النشرة أن الوزارة قد نفذت نحو 253 جولة تفتيشية على مكاتب الاستقدام، انتهت 248 منها دون تسجيل ملاحظات، وإصدار تنبيه واحد بإزالة مخالفة، وحظر 4 شركات.
كما قامت إدارة تفتيش العمل خلال الشهر ذاته، بحملات تفتيشية مكثفة لمراقبة مدى التزام المنشآت بالقوانين والقرارات الوزارية المعنية بتنظيم سوق العمل بالدولة، بإجمالي 4599 زيارة تفتيشية لمختلف المناطق، أسفرت عن توجيه تنبيه لـ 605 شركات بإزالة المخالفة، فيما بلغ عدد محاضر ضبط المخالفات ضد الشركات 717 محضرا ، وعدد الجولات التفتيشية على مواقع العمل وسكن العمال نحو 1675 جولة منها 1303 على موقع العمل، و372 زيارة على سكن العمال.
وبشأن الشكاوى العمالية، أظهرت النشرة الإحصائية استقبال إدارة المنازعات العمالية 2212 شكوى، تم تسوية 390 شكوى، وأحيل 172 منها للجان فض المنازعات العمالية، في حين تلقت إدارة المنازعات العمالية 67 بلاغا من الجمهور تم تسويتها جميعها.
وبحسب النشرة، فيما يتعلق بلجان فض المنازعات العمالية، فقد بلغ عدد القضايا المحالة لهذه اللجان خلال الشهر الماضي نحو 1422 قضية، وبلغ إجمالي عدد القرارات الصادرة عنها نحو 572 قرارا .
وأظهرت النشرة الإحصائية الشهرية فيما يتعلق بعقود العمل، استقبال إدارة علاقات العمل نحو 65888 طلبا لتصديق عقود العمل، فيما بلغ عدد طلبات إعارة للعمالة 5911 طلبا.
