Doha: Fire Station: Artist in Residence announced Sunday the opening of the highly anticipated exhibition, “The Voyager is the Narrator: New York & Paris Residency Exhibition,” on Feb. 7, showcasing the remarkable works of 10 talented artists who participated in the international residency program across Paris and New York.

The Voyager is the Narrator: New York and Paris Residency Exhibition, housed in galleries 3 and 4 at Fire Station, will be open to the public until April 20, Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 7pm and Fridays from 1:30pm to 7pm. This exhibition will offer a captivating journey through the distinctive perspectives and creative expressions that have emerged from these two iconic cities.

The Fire Station: Artist in Residence is a world-class artist residency program, designed to nurture, energize, and promote Qatars artistic and creative community. The residency program provides young artists with the opportunity to cultivate their talent through production support, curatorial advice, expert mentorships, as well as access to studio space. At the end of their residency, artists will have the opportunity to showcase their artworks in an exhibition held in the Garage Gallery.

Director of Fire Station, Khalifa Al Obaidli said, “At the Fire Station, we believe in fostering an environment where artists can flourish. “The Voyager is the Narrator: New York & Paris Residency Exhibition” exhibition exemplifies the global perspective and diverse creativity that arise when artists engage with different cultures. We invite everyone to witness the rich tapestry of artistic expressions brought to life by our international residency program.” The Artist is Residence program has been a resounding success and expanded its duration to include a three-month stint at the prestigious ‘Cite Internationale des Art’ in Paris and in New York City at ‘Studio 209 NY’, which is part of the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP).

This residency program is an opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their talent and creativity on an international platform and is designed to encourage the artists by providing them with an immersive experience in the heart of New York and Paris’ vibrant artistic scenes. It also offers a chance for the artist to engage with the international art community, explore diverse cultural perspectives, and develop their creative practice.

الدوحة: أعلن /مطافئ: مقر الفنانين/ عن افتتاح المعرض المرتقب /المسافر هو الراوي: معرض الإقامة الفنية في نيويورك وباريس/، يوم الأربعاء القادم ويستمر حتى 20 إبريل 2024، ويعرض المعرض أعمالا متميزة أبدعها 10 فنانين موهوبين شاركوا في برنامجي الإقامة الفنية الدوليين في باريس ونيويورك.

وسيقدم هذا المعرض رحلة آسرة عبر وجهات النظر والتعبيرات الإبداعية المميزة التي استلهمت من هاتين المدينتين الشهيرتين.

ويعد /مطافئ: مقر الفنانين/، ‏برنامجا للإقامة الفنية عالمي المستوى للمقيمين في قطر، يهدف إلى رعاية وتنشيط وتعزيز المجتمع الفني ‏والإبداعي ‏في قطر. ويتيح برنامج الإقامة الفنية‏ للفنانين الشباب ‏تنمية مواهبهم من خلال دعم إنتاجهم الفني، وتزويدهم بمشورة القيمين الفنيين، وتوجيه الخبراء ‏لهم‏، بالإضافة إلى توفير مساحة استوديو خاصة بهم. وفي نهاية إقامتهم، سيتمكن الجمهور من الاطلاع على أعمال الفنانين في معرض يقام في جاليري الكراج.

من جانبه، قال خليفة العبيدلي، مدير /مطافئ/:” نؤمن بأهمية تعزيز بيئة يزدهر بفضلها الفنانون. يجسد معرض /المسافر هو الراوي/ المنظور العالمي والإبداع المتنوع اللذين ينشآن نتاج احتكاك الفنانين بثقافات مختلفة”، مضيفا:” ندعو الجميع لتأمل باقة من التعبيرات الفنية الغنية التي ظهرت إلى النور عبر برنامجنا الدولي للإقامة الفنية”.

جدير بالذكر أن برنامج الإقامة الفنية ‏حقق نجاحا باهرا واتسع نطاقه ليشمل إقامة لمدة ثلاثة أشهر في المدينة الدولية للفنون في باريس، وأخرى بمدينة نيويورك في استوديو 209 نيويورك، وهو جزء من برنامج الاستوديو والقيمين الدولي (ISCP). ويعد برنامج الإقامة فرصة يعرض من خلالها الفنانون الناشئون مواهبهم وإبداعاتهم على المستوى الدولي، كما صمم لتشجيع الفنانين من خلال تزويدهم بتجربة غامرة في قلب المشهد الفني النابض بالحياة في مدن كنيويورك وباريس. كما يوفر البرنامج للفنانين أفقا للتفاعل مع مجتمع الفن العالمي، واستكشاف وجهات نظر ثقافية متنوعة، وتطوير ممارساتهم الإبداعية.
