Nakilat’s Profits Rise 8.3% in 2023

Doha: The net profits of Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) rose 8.3 percent to reach QR 1.559 billion in 2023 compared to QR 1.439 billion in 2022.

Data issued by the company and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) website on Sunday showed that the Earnings per share(EPS) amounted to QR 0.28 as of Dec. 31, 2023, versus Earnings per share(EPS) QR 0.26 for the same period in 2022.

The Board of Directors has proposed a cash dividend of 14 percent of the nominal share value (0.14 Qatari Riyal per share) for the year ended Dec. 31, 2023. The amounts are subject to the approval of the General Assembly.

Commenting on the companys financial performance, Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdulaziz Jassim Al Muftah said: “This year has brought about significant changes and challenges to the global shipping market, shaped by global events and geopolitical shifts. Despite these challenges, Nakilat has not only navigated through these complexities but has also emerged stronger, showcasing resilience, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. الدوحة: زادت الأرباح الصافية لشركة قطر لنقل الغاز المحدودة ناقلات (شركة مساهمة عامة قطرية) بنسبة 8.3 بالمئة لتبلغ 1.559 مليار ريال في العام 2023، مقابل 1.439 مليار ريال في العام 2022.

وأوضحت بيانات صادرة عن الشركة نشرت على موقع بورصة قطر اليوم، ارتفاعا في العائد على السهم ليبلغ 0.28 ريال في الفترة المنتهية في 31 ديسمبر من العام الماضي، مقابل 0.26 ريال في العام الذي سبقه.

واقترح مجلس الإدارة على اجتماع الجمعية العامة القادم توزيع أرباح نقدية على المساھمين عن عام 2023 بنسبة 14% من القيمة الاسمية للسھم (بما يُعادل 0.14 ريال قطري لكل سهم).

وتعليقا على أداء الشركة والنتائج المالية المتحققة، قال السيد عبدالعزيز جاسم المفتاح، رئيس مجلس الإدارة، “لقد واجه قطاع شحن الطاقة هذا العام جملة من التغيرات الجوهرية والتحديات الكبرى التي صاغتها الأحداث العالمية والتحولات الجيوسياسية”، بيد أن ناقلات نجحت في معالجة هذه التحديات واجتياز التعقيدات المصاحبة لها وخرجت منها أكثر قوة ورسوخا من ذي قبل، ما يبرز قدرتها على الصمود والالتزام الراسخ بالابتكار والاستدامة والتميز التشغيلي.

وأضاف:” وفيما تواصل الديناميات الجيوسياسية تأثيرها على أسواق الطاقة العالمية، تظل ناقلات ماضية بثبات وعزم متكيفة مع هذه التغيرات؛ إذ ندرك أهمية التحلي بالمرونة في مواجهة التقلبات وحالة عدم اليقين، وتلتزم بتذليل الصعاب والتغلب على التحديات بالاعتماد على خبراتنا الفنية وشراكاتنا الاستراتيجية ونهجنا المستشرف للمستقبل”.

وأشار إلى أن الأداء المالي لناقلات خلال العام 2023 عكس الالتزام الراسخ بتحقيق التميز التشغيلي والتوسع الاستراتيجي، فلم تقتصر مساعي الشركة هذا العام على اجتياز التحديات التي واجهها القطاع فحسب، بل حققت أيضا نموا مستداما، مما يعزز مكانتها بصفتها شريكا فاعلا رئيسيا في مجال نقل الطاقة والخدمات البحرية.
