Washington: Google has announced some new enhancements to the Android ecosystem, the well-known name for connecting devices running the operating system with each other quickly and easily. The company, in collaboration with Samsung, introduced improvements to facilitate sharing.
The new feature for fast connection and multi-device sharing is now named “Quick Share,” the same name used by Samsung. According to Google, this feature works to expand the network of devices that users can share content with through the Android ecosystem, including Chromebooks.
In a blog post, the company stated: “With a simple tap on the new Quick Share icon, you can see a list of nearby available devices. You remain in control of your privacy, and in your phone settings, you can choose who can discover your device and send files, whether it’s everyone, only your contacts, or just your devices.”
Google also announced that support for the Fast Pair feature, which quickly finds and connects Bluetooth accessories to devices, is expanding to include the Chromecast with Google TV and more Google devices later this year.
Additionally, Google mentioned that Android Auto has received several new updates. Electric vehicles compatible with Android Auto will soon be able to share real-time battery information with Google Maps.
Google stated that it is working with computer manufacturers to expand Quick Share to Windows computers as a pre-installed application.

كما أعلنت جوجل أيضا أن دعم ميزة الإقران السريع /Fast Pair/ التي تعثر بسرعة على ملحقات البلوتوث وتربطها بأجهزتك، يتوسع ليشمل /Chromecast with Google TV/، كما يشمل المزيد من أجهزة جوجل في وقت لاحق من هذا العام.
وأوضحت جوجل أن/ أندرويد أوتو/ حصلت أيضا على عدد من التحديثات الجديدة، إذ يمكن للسيارات الكهربائية المتوافقة مع أندرويد أوتو في الأشهر المقبلة مشاركة معلومات البطارية في الوقت الفعلي مع خرائط جوجل.
وأشارت جوجل إلى أنها تعمل مع الشركات المصنعة لأجهزة الحواسيب لتوسيع المشاركة السريعة لأجهزة الحواسيب التي تعمل بنظام ويندوز بصفتها تطبيقا مثبتا سابقا.
