Doha Metro’s Special Schedule for AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023

Doha Metro has introduced changes to its metro and metrolink services for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
Starting from the opening of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 on Friday, January 12, 2024, the operating hours for Doha Metro and Lusail Tram will commence at 12 pm.
This information was officially communicated through their social media channels. As part of the adjustments, the metroexpress service at Sport City will operate from Al Waab QLM, shelter 2, throughout the tournament.
Specific updates have also been made to Metrolink services during the AFC Asian Cup. The M311 metrolink service will run from Al Sudan Bus Station instead of Sport City Station. Additionally, the M202 and M203 metrolink services will operate from Qatar National Library Station, shelter 1, rather than the Education City station for the duration of the tournament.
During a press conference held on January 10, 2024, Faisal Al-Moftah, the Mobility and Logistics Executive Director of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Local Organizing Committee, highlighted the transportation infrastructure. “We have 37 metro stations to transport fans, connecting to five tournament stadiums, and four stadiums linked by private transport buses.”
He also mentioned the deployment of 600 environmentally friendly buses to serve media and fans, along with the availability of 81,000 parking spaces around the nine stadiums hosting the AFC Asian Cup.

أعلنت شركة مترو الدوحة عن استعدادها لاستقبال جماهير بطولة كأس آسيا لكرة القدم قطر 2023، حيث ستوفر تجربة تنقل آمنة وموثوقة عبر شبكتي مترو الدوحة وترام لوسيل.
وفي إطار التحضير لتسهيل تنقل الجماهير إلى ملاعب البطولة ومناطق الفعاليات، ستشغل شركة مترو الدوحة أسطولًا كاملاً من القطارات الحديثة، تصل إلى 110 قطارات، مع تعزيز القدرة الاستيعابية بقطار مكون من 6 مقطورات على الخط الأحمر، وتقليل زمن التقاطر إلى 3 دقائق خلال فترة المباريات.
خلال فترة البطولة (12 يناير – 10 فبراير 2024)، ستبدأ ساعات الخدمة كالمعتاد، باستثناء يوم الافتتاح حيث تبدأ الخدمة الساعة 12 ظهرًا، وفي 19 يناير و2 فبراير من الساعة 10 صباحًا.
وفي مؤتمر صحفي، أكدت الشركة استعدادها لنقل الجماهير عبر 37 محطة مترو، مع وجود 5 ملاعب مرتبطة بالمترو و600 حافلة صديقة للبيئة لخدمة الإعلام والجماهير، إلى جانب 81,000 موقف سيارات حول الملاعب التسع التي تستضيف البطولة.
