Qatar Chamber: 92529 Transactions Issued in 2023

Doha: The Qatar Chamber (QC) said that it issued a total of 92529 transactions both electronic and non-electronic in the year 2023.

Qatar Chamber published its figures for 2023, which cover the entire year until the end of December, indicating that the Chamber issued 46984 certificates of origin, of those 40879 were electronic certificates, whereas 6105 were non-electronic.

It also issued 5 ATA carnet, and 25 TIR Carnets Transports Internationaux Routiers or (International Road Transport), pointing out that the total number of QC members until the end of December reached 84840 members, with 5708 new affiliates joining.

Throughout the year, the Chamber organized and participated in over 175 events and hosted 70 meetings for foreign delegations. These included 10 meetings with heads of state, as well as delegations accompanied by heads of government, ministers, government officials, and representatives of international institutions and chambers of commerce from various countries.

During these meetings, they discussed strengthening cooperation relations between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts in various countries of the world.

Additionally, the Chamber participated in over 26 external events, organized and took part in more than 15 forums and conferences, and signed memorandums of understanding with 10 counterpart entities and chambers of commerce.

Over the past year, the Chamber organized seven joint Qatari business meetings and forums, with the aim of bringing together Qatari business owners and their foreign counterparts to discuss prospects for cooperation and partnership in trade and investment. Moreover, the Chamber convened three joint business council meetings between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from countries around the world, including the Qatari-Saudi Business Council, which was held on the sidelines of the Made in Qatar 2023 exhibition.

As for training, the Chamber organized several training courses, including the 29th and 30th editions of the customs clearance programme for customs representatives and brokers in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs with the participation of 95 participants. It also held various training courses, such as anti-money laundry trainings, food handlers in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and other courses for the Chambers employees.

In 2023, the Chamber participated in several exhibitions, foremost of which is the ninth edition of the Made in Qatar exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of 450 companies and factories at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The Chamber also inaugurated two editions of the Arabian Woman Exhibition which saw broad participation from many Qatari businesswomen and entrepreneurs.

During the year, the ICC Qatar held several events and webinars, and announced the launch of the ICC Customs and Trade Facilitation Commission.

Furthermore, HE Sheikha Tamader Al-Thani, Director of International Relations and Chamber Affairs at Qatar Chamber, and Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar, was elected as a World Chambers Federation (WCF) General Council Member for the term 2023 2025.

In 2023, the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration made several significant achievements. It recorded 41 arbitration cases and 4 conciliation requests, and successfully facilitating 5 settlement processes. The Centre issued 27 arbitral awards, organized a series of seminars on arbitration, and actively participated in various local and international conferences.

During the year, the Chamber became a member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), which is the largest world organizations that includes all freight forwarders worldwide.

The Chamber also hosted the 39th General Assembly Meeting of the Islamic Chamber and the 63rd meeting of the Federation of GCC chambers.

الدوحة: كشفت غرفة قطر عن العدد الإجمالي للمعاملات التي نفذتها خلال العام 2023 (الإلكترونية وغير الإلكترونية) بلغ 92 ألفا و529 معاملة.

وقالت الغرفة، في إحصائية نشرتها عن أنشطتها في العام 2023، إنها أصدرت كذلك 46984 شهادة منشأ، منها 40879 شهادة إلكترونية، و6105 غير إلكترونية، كما أصدرت 5 بطاقات من دفاتر الإدخال المؤقت للسلع والبضائع، و25 دفتر TIR (نظام النقل الجمركي العالمي لنقل البضائع عبر الحدود البرية الدولية)، كما بلغ عدد المنتسبين الإجمالي بنهاية العام 84840 منتسبا، منهم 5708 سجلات جديدة تم إنشاؤها في العام 2023.

وخلال العام 2023، نظمت الغرفة وشاركت في أكثر من 175 فعالية واستقبلت نحو 70 وفدا تجاريا من عدة دول، بحثت معهم سبل تعزيز الاستثمارات المتبادلة وتعزيز التعاون بين القطاع الخاص القطري ونظيره في هذه الدول، ومن بين هذه الوفود 10 وفود مرافقة لرؤساء دول، بالإضافة إلى وفود يرأسها وزراء ورؤساء وممثلو مؤسسات وغرف ومنظمات تجارية من دول مختلفة.

كما شاركت الغرفة في أكثر من 26 فعالية خارجية، ونظمت وشاركت في أكثر من 15 منتدى ومؤتمرا، ووقعت مذكرات تفاهم مع 10 جهات وغرف تجارية نظيرة.

وعقدت الغرفة خلال العام المنصرم، 7 لقاءات وملتقيات أعمال قطرية مشتركة، وذلك بهدف جمع أصحاب الأعمال القطريين ونظرائهم الأجانب تحت سقف واحد لبحث آفاق التعاون والشراكة في التجارة والاستثمار، كما عقدت الغرفة 3 اجتماعات لمجالس الأعمال المشتركة بين رجال الأعمال القطريين ونظرائهم من دول العالم كان آخرها مجلس الأعمال القطري السعودي الذي عقد على هامش فعاليات معرض صنع في قطر 2023.

كما نظمت الغرفة عددا من الدورات والبرامج التدريبية، منها الدورتان الـ 29 والـ 30 لبرنامج تدريب وتأهيل المخلصين والمندوبين الجمركيين بمشاركة 95 مخلصا ومندوبا جمركيا وذلك بالتعاون مع الهيئة العامة للجمارك.

كما نظمت دورات تدريبية حول مكافحة غسل الأموال، وبرنامج متداولي الغذاء بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة، بالإضافة إلى الدورات المقدمة لموظفي الغرفة.

وشاركت الغرفة ورعت ونظمت عددا من المعارض الهامة أبرزها تنظيمها للنسخة التاسعة من معرض صنع في قطر بالتعاون مع وزارة التجارة والصناعة، بمشاركة أكثر من 450 من المصانع والشركات الصناعية في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات.

كما قامت الغرفة برعاية وافتتاح نسختين من معرض المرأة العربية بمشاركة نخبة من سيدات ورائدات الأعمال القطريات.

ونظمت وشاركت غرفة التجارة الدولية قطر عددا من الفعاليات الهامة خلال العام، كما أعلنت عن إطلاق “لجنة الجمارك وتيسير التجارة”.

وخلال العام 2023، تم انتخاب سعادة الشيخة تماضر آل ثاني مدير العلاقات الدولية وشؤون الغرف المشتركة في غرفة قطر والأمين العام لغرفة التجارة الدولية قطر، في عضوية المجلس العام لاتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي (WCF) وذلك للفترة من 2023 وحتى 2025.

وعلى صعيد مركز قطر الدولي للتوفيق والتحكيم، فقد قام المركز خلال العام 2023 بتسجيل (41) دعوى تحكيمية، و(4) طلبات توفيق، و(5) عمليات تسوية ناجحة بين الأطراف. وأصدر المركز (27) حكما تحكيميا، ونظم عددا من الندوات حول التحكيم، كما شارك في عدة مؤتمرات محلية ودولية.

وخلال العام 2023، فازت الغرفة بعضوية الاتحاد الدولي لرابطات وكلاء الشحن “منظمة الفياتا” والتي تعتبر أكبر المنظمات العالمية التي تضم وكلاء الشحن على مستوى العالم.

واستضافت غرفة قطر اجتماع الدورة الـ 39 للجمعية العمومية للغرفة الإسلامية، والاجتماع الـ 63 لمجلس إدارة اتحاد غرف دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
