Doha: Hamad International Airport (DOH) stands at the pinnacle of success, capping off 2023 by outstanding accomplishments and new milestones. Throughout the year 2023, the award-winning airport has surpassed all expectations by serving an unprecedented 45,916,104 passengers, reflecting a remarkable 31 percent increase compared to 2022.
Passenger volumes continued to climb in 2023, surpassing even the momentum established during the historic FIFA World Cup.
The airport reported 252,059 aircraft movements over the past year, which is a 22 percent increase compared to the previous year. Hamad International Airport also witnessed growth in cargo operations amounting to a total of 2,340,711 tons of cargo. The airport has served a total of 52 airlines in 2023.

Since its inception in 2014, the airport which is the “Beating Heart of Qatar”, has consistently demonstrated robust growth, now proudly tallying a cumulative passenger count of close to 303 million and demonstrating a 63 percent increase in annual passenger volume since the commencement of its operations in 2014. Hamad International Airport has been ranked among the World’s Busiest Airports of 2023 by OAG’s Global Airline Schedules Data.

الدوحة: استقبل مطار حمد الدولي 45 مليونا و916 ألفا و104 مسافرين خلال العام الماضي، مسجلا بذلك رقما غير مسبوق، ما يعكس نموا مطردا في أعداد المسافرين بزيادة نسبتها 31 بالمئة مقارنة بالعام 2022.
وأوضح المطار، في بيان له، أن المطار سجل 252 ألفا و59 حركة طائرات خلال العام 2023، بزيادة نسبتها 22 بالمئة مقارنة بالعام 2022، كما شهد المطار نموا في عمليات الشحن التي بلغت مليونين و340 ألفا و711 طنا من البضائع، في حين بلغ عدد شركات الطيران 52 شركة خلال العام الماضي.
وقال المهندس بدر محمد المير الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، في تصريح له:” إن الأرقام القياسية التي تتجاوزها مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية ليست مجرد أرقام، بل هي حافز يدفعنا دوما لمواصلة مسيرة التطور.. وتعتبر إنجازات مطار حمد الدولي بمثابة انعكاس لالتزامنا الراسخ بتحقيق التميز في الخدمة.. ونحن فخورون بمكانتنا الرائدة في صناعة الطيران، حيث نضع الارتقاء بتجربة السفر على قائمة أولوياتنا.. يعد العام 2023 الذي حطم فيه المطار الأرقام القياسية هو شهادة على مرونة قطاع الطيران وأهميته الراسخة في صناعة مستقبل السفر”.
وأكد المير الحرص على مواصلة تقديم تجارب سفر لا تضاهى، قائلا:” هدفنا هو تحسين تجارب السفر في عام 2024 من خلال تقديم رحلات ربط سلسة وخدمات مميزة ومرافق متطورة تلائم متطلبات جميع المسافرين”.
ومنذ إنشائه وبدء عملياته التشغيلية عام 2014، استمر مطار حمد الدولي في التوسعات، إذ بلغ عدد المسافرين التراكمي حوالي 303 ملايين مسافر، ما يعكس زيادة بنسبة 63 بالمئة في حجم أعداد المسافرين السنوي منذ بدء عملياته، وتم تصنيف المطار ضمن أكثر مسارات الطيران ازدحاما في العالم للعام 2023 وفقا لتقرير لشركة OAG البريطانية المتخصصة في البيانات الخاصة بالرحلات الجوية.
