Beijing: The Chinese company Xiaomi presented its first electric car, the SU7, as part of its ambition to bring about change in the transportation sector as it did in the smartphone sector.
The rear-wheel drive version of the car comes with a 220 kW engine, and this model reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.28 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph), and provides a driving range of 668 km (415 mi).
Xiaomi equipped the SUV SU7 Max with 425 kW twin engines, reaching 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h, offering a driving range of 800 km, and the battery can be recharged for a driving distance of 390 km in 10 minutes.
The car also has self-driving capabilities, a set of sensors and can navigate through a busy street with mixed obstacles, and can park itself, and even park itself in an automated parking garage with tight spaces.
Inside the car is a 16.1-inch 3K resolution central control screen and two 7.1-inch rear-facing screens for passengers, and the navigation system can be displayed via the 56-inch front-facing display.
