QatarEnergy Signs Five-Year Crude Supply Agreement with Shell

Doha: QatarEnergy announced Thursday a five-year crude oil supply agreement with Shell International Eastern Trading Company, Singapore (Shell).
The agreement stipulates the supply of up to 18 million barrels per annum of Qatar Land and Qatar Marine crude oils to Shell starting January 2024.
HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi said: “We are delighted to sign our first ever five-year crude sales agreement. This agreement further strengthens QatarEnergys relationship with Shell, which is not only a reliable crude oil off-taker, but also a major customer and a strategic partner of QatarEnergy. We look forward to building on our historic relationship and hope we achieve greater success with Shell.” The agreement highlights QatarEnergys strategy in establishing longer-term strategic business relationship and cooperation.
QatarEnergy and Shell have a long-standing strategic partnership through several shared investments in the energy industry in Qatar and globally, including QatarEnergy LNG projects, the Pearl GTL Plant, and several other joint investments.

الدوحة: وقعت /قطر للطاقة/ اتفاقية مدتها خمسة أعوام لبيع النفط الخام لشركة “شل” الدولية للتجارة الشرقية، سنغافورة.
وبموجب الاتفاقية، سيتم توريد 18 مليون برميل سنوياً من نفط قطر البري ونفط قطر البحري لشركة “شل” اعتباراً من يناير 2024.
وبهذه المناسبة قال سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريدة الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للطاقة، إن الاتفاقية التي تم توقيعها بين الجانبين تعتبر الأولى من نوعها لتوريد النفط الخام مدتها خمسة أعوام.
وأضاف الكعبي “هذه الاتفاقية ستعزز العلاقة الوثيقة بين قطر للطاقة وشركة شل، والتي لا تعد مشترياً موثوقاً للنفط فحسب، ولكنها أيضاً عميل رئيسي لقطر للطاقة وشريك جدير بالثقة. نحن نتطلع إلى المزيد من البناء على علاقة العمل التاريخية مع هذه الشركة وإلى المزيد من النجاح.” وتؤكد هذه الاتفاقية على استراتيجية قطر للطاقة التي تهدف إلى بناء علاقات تعاون تجارية واستراتيجية وذات أمد أطول.
يذكر أن قطر للطاقة وشركة شل تتمتعان بشراكة استراتيجية طويلة الأمد من خلال العديد من الاستثمارات المشتركة في صناعة الطاقة في دولة قطر وحول العالم، بما في ذلك مشاريع قطر للطاقة لإنتاج الغاز الطبيعي المسال، ومصنع اللؤلؤة لتحويل الغاز إلى سوائل، والعديد من الاستثمارات المشتركة الأخرى.
