Partial Traffic Shift on Al Corniche Street
تحويل جزئي على شارع الكورنيش
To facilitate completion of construction works on the pedestrian underpass that aims to provide safe pedestrian crossings, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces a traffic shift onto parallel lanes on Al Corniche Street between Al Sheraton Intersection and National Theatre Intersection. In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented starting Saturday 16 November 2019 for a period of six months.
During this period, traffic on Al Corniche Street coming from Doha and heading towards Al Dafna between National Library and Sheraton Intersections as well as traffic coming from Al Dafna and heading towards Doha between National Library and National Theatre Intersections will be shifted onto parallel lanes as shown in the above map.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
بهدف استكمال أعمال إنشاء أنفاق مخصصة للمشاة وتوفير معابر آمنة لهم، تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تحويل جزئي بشارع الكورنيش إلى مسارات موازية في المسافة ما بين تقاطع الشيراتون وتقاطع المسرح الوطني، وذلك بدءً من يوم السبت 16 نوفمبر 2019 ولمدة ستة أشهر، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
يتضمن التحويل نقل الحركة المرورية على جزء من شارع الكورنيش بالاتجاه من الدوحة إلى الدّفنة، وذلك في المسافة ما بين تقاطعي المكتبة الوطنية والشيراتون، بالإضافة إلى نقل الحركة المرورية بالاتجاه من الدفنة إلى الدوحة، في المسافة ما بين تقاطعي المكتبة الوطنية والمسرح الوطني، إلى مسارات موازية، كما هو موضح بالخريطة أعلاه.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري المؤقت، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المحددة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
