Qatar Airways Announces Offers for Qatari Retirees

Doha: Qatar Airways revealed a number of exclusive offers for the Qatari retirees who possess retirement cards, as an appreciation for their dedication and hard work during the previous years.
This was revealed during a ceremony held by the national carrier of the State of Qatar, which included the official inauguration of the Traditional Qatari Heritage and Hospitality Souq Al Matar this evening, at Hamad International Airport.
Souq Al Matar matar being the Arabic word for the airport is a traditional Qatari Souq located in the North Node terminal of HIA, featuring seven shops and two restaurants.
CEO of Qatar Airways Group Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said that these offers will be valid as of the beginning of 2024, for all Qatari retirees who hold retirement cards, according to which they will receive discounted tickets by 25 percent for first class and business class, and 50 percent for economy class onboard of all Qatar Airways flights to more than 170 destinations around the world.
On top of that, he clarified that the Qatari pensioners holders of retirement cards will be granted discounts up to 20 percent in the restaurants, cafes and retail stores in the Qatar Duty Free.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, said: “Our goal has always been to ensure that the travel experience at Hamad International Airport remains one of the best in the world. Souq Al Matar brings a whole new dimension to passengers, where they can shop, dine, and experience a taste of Qatar without having to leave the airport. We have once again raised the bar of what the airport experience can aspire to be, making it a part of the cultural experience itself, not just a transit hub.” For his part, Director General of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi called on all institutions operating in the country to contribute to such initiatives, which reflect society’s appreciation and praise for the efforts made by retirees throughout their years of service, for the sake of the nation’s advancement.
He pointed out that these discounts come within the framework of the great keenness that the wise leadership attaches to supporting and caring for the retirees and providing them with the necessary support in view of their tireless efforts and dedication in serving this generous nation.

الدوحة: أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية، عن مجموعة من العروض الحصرية للمتقاعدين القطريين الحاملين لبطاقات التقاعد، تقديرا لتفانيهم وخدمتهم للوطن على مدار السنوات الماضية.
جاء ذلك خلال حفل أقامته الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر، شمل كذلك الافتتاح الرسمي لـ سوق المطار التراثي مساء اليوم، بمطار حمد الدولي.
وقال المهندس بدر محمد المير الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، إن هذه العروض ستسري اعتبارا من مطلع عام 2024، لجميع المتقاعدين القطريين الحاملين لبطاقات التقاعد، وبموجبها سيحصلون على تذاكر مخفضة بنسبة 25 بالمئة على الدرجة الأولى ودرجة رجال الأعمال، وبنسبة 50 بالمئة للدرجة السياحية، على متن جميع رحلات الخطوط الجوية القطرية إلى أكثر من 170 وجهة حول العالم.
وأوضح أنه بالإضافة إلى ذلك، سيتم منح المتقاعدين القطريين الحاملين لبطاقات التقاعد خصما يصل إلى 20 بالمئة على المطاعم والمقاهي ومحلات التجزئة في السوق الحرة القطرية.
وأضاف الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: “من دواعي سرورنا أن نعلن عن خصومات كبيرة وحصرية لتذاكر السفر والسوق الحرة للمتقاعدين تقديرا لجهودهم الحثيثة وما قدموه لخدمة الوطن. وتقديرا لآبائنا وأمهاتنا المتقاعدين، سيتم منح المتقاعدين الحاملين لبطاقات التقاعد البطاقة الفضية في نادي الامتياز التابع للخطوط الجوية القطرية مدى الحياة ليتمكنوا من الاستمتاع بمجموعة رائعة من المزايا “.
من جانبه، دعا السيد أحمد بن علي الحمادي المدير العام للهيئة العامة للتقاعد والتأمينات الاجتماعية، كافة المؤسسات العاملة في الدولة إلى الإسهام في مثل هذه المبادرات، التي تعكس تقدير المجتمع وإشادته بالجهود التي بذلها المتقاعدون طوال سنوات خدمتهم، في سبيل رفعة الوطن.
وقال إن “هذه الخصومات تأتي في إطار الحرص الكبير الذي توليه القيادة الرشيدة بدعم ورعاية أهلنا من المتقاعدين والمتقاعدات وتقديم الدعم اللازم لهم نظرا لما قدموه من جهود دؤوبة وتفان في خدمة هذا الوطن المعطاء”.
يشار إلى أن مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية ستقوم بالتنسيق مع الهيئة العامة للتقاعد والتأمينات الاجتماعية لضمان تلبية جميع المتطلبات.
