Qatar Foundation Invites Applications for Akhlaquna Awards 2024

Doha: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is inviting young individuals and those with initiatives focused on spreading positive values and constructive behaviors within their communities to apply for the Akhlaquna Awards 2024.

Applications are open from now until February 1, 2024, across four categories. Both the categories for Akhlaquna Junior Award for ages 7-14 and the Akhlaquna Youth Award for ages 15-18 require submissions through schools in Qatar.
The Akhlaquna Individual Contributions Award category accepts applications from Qatar for ages 19-45, which focus on projects related to ethics, and for individuals from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for ages 25-45. This expansion aims to broaden the initiative’s reach and underscore the message of moral values inspired by the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

Lastly, the Akhlaquna Appreciation Award category is dedicated to recognizing individuals known for their loyalty and accomplishments in their careers and life journeys.

Akhlaquna Project Manager Ahmed Yousef Al Malki said: “The Akhlaquna initiative goes beyond mere recognition; it actively strives to emphasize its profound positive and moral impact. It fosters the cultivation of positive relationships, nurturing affection and a sense of closeness among community members.” “The impact of the Akhlaquna initiative is closely tied to community engagement and the favorable contributions we’ve observed, including students in schools actively dedicated to instilling good morals among their peers through diverse projects and activities. Former ambassadors continue to inspire others with their positive initiatives.” Al Malki believes that the launch of the Individual Contributions category for the Arab Gulf countries will have a positive influence on the Gulf community and further promote the initiative. “This year, our goal was to expand the initiative’s reach, ensuring it extends to every home, school, and institution through our various activities.

“We hold high expectations for this cycle, particularly with the addition of new categories. Our aim is to engage a broader group of students who are actively contributing to moral values and making a positive impact.” Al Malki also hopes that the Akhlaquna initiative will leave a lasting legacy by fostering positive, ethical interactions in society, following the moral values of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and celebrating the impact of project owners as role models for all.

The initiative, which was launched in 2017 by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF), celebrates individuals and endeavors that embody noble values such as compassion, tolerance, honesty, and generosity within society.

الدوحة: فتحت مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع باب التقديم لمبادرة /أخلاقنا 2024/، وذلك حتى الأول من فبراير 2024 عبر أربع فئات.

ودعت المؤسسة الشباب من أصحاب المبادرات التي تركز على نشر القيم الإيجابية والسلوكيات البناءة داخل مجتمعاتهم للتقدم إلى فئات المبادرة المختلفة حيث تتطلب فئة /براعم الأخلاق/ المخصصة للفئات العمرية من 7 إلى 14 عاما، و/فئة اليافعين/ المخصصة للفئة العمرية من 15 إلى 18 عاما تقديم الطلبات من خلال المدارس في قطر، في حين تندرج في فئة /الإسهامات الفردية/ الطلبات المقدمة من قطر للفئات العمرية المخصصة من عمر 19 إلى 45 عاما، والتي تركز على المشاريع المتعلقة بالأخلاقيات وللأفراد من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي للأعمار من 25 إلى 45 عاما.

ويهدف ذلك إلى توسيع نطاق المبادرة والتأكيد على رسالة القيم الأخلاقية المستوحاة من الأخلاق الشاملة للرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم.

بينما تعتبر الفئة الرابعة وهي /جائزة أخلاقنا التقديرية/، جائزة مخصصة لتكريم الأشخاص الذين يحققون الإنجازات التي تعزز الانتماء خلال مسيرتهم العملية والحياتية.

وأوضح أحمد يوسف المالكي مدير مشاريع، وعضو في فريق أخلاقنا أن مبادرة أخلاقنا تتجاوز مرحلة تقدير الإسهامات، بل تسعى لتوسيع نطاق تأثيرها الإيجابي والأخلاقي العميق، كونها تسهم في تنمية الأواصر الاجتماعية الإيجابية، وتحفيز التضامن الاجتماعي، لافتا إلى أن تأثير مبادرة أخلاقنا يرتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بالمشاركة المجتمعية والمساهمات الإيجابية بما في ذلك التي تتعزز بين طلبة المدارس الذين يكرسون جهودهم لغرس الأخلاق الحميدة بين أقرانهم من خلال مشاريع وأنشطة متنوعة، كما يواصل سفراء أخلاقنا السابقون طريقهم نحو إلهام الآخرين بمبادراتهم الإيجابية.

ويرى المالكي أن إطلاق فئة الإسهامات الفردية المخصصة لاستقبال طلبات من المتقدمين عبر دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي سيكون له تأثير إيجابي على المجتمع الخليجي، قائلا: “هدفنا هذا العام هو توسيع نطاق المبادرة، وضمان امتدادها إلى كل منزل، ومدرسة، ومؤسسة من خلال أنشطتنا المختلفة”.

وأضاف “لدينا توقعات عالية لهذا العام، لا سيما مع إضافة فئات جديدة، والتي نهدف من خلالها إلى إشراك مجموعة أوسع من الطلاب الذين يسهمون بنشاط في تعزيز القيم الأخلاقية وإحداث التأثير الإيجابي”، معربا عن أمله أن تترك مبادرة /أخلاقنا/ إرثا دائما من خلال تعزيز التفاعل الإيجابي والأخلاقي في المجتمع، والاحتفاء بأثر أصحاب المشاريع باعتبارهم قدوة للجميع.

وتحتفي المبادرة، التي أطلقتها صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع عام 2017، بالمبادرات والمشاريع التي تسلط الضوء على الأخلاق الشاملة للرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم، كالرحمة والتسامح والصدق والكرم والتواضع، والأمانة، والعدل والمساواة.
