Instagram Tests New Switching Option for Meta Verified Service

Washington: Instagram announced that its testing a new toggle option that allows users to see posts from subscribers to the Meta Verified service only.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri said: “We are testing a way for people to explore their Instagram feed and reels by toggling only to Meta Verified accounts, it will appear as an option under ‘Following’ and ‘Favourites’ when users tap the Instagram logo.

The new Meta Verified feature will not only allow normal users to keep track of content from verified users, but it will also be more focused as a perk to make users by the Meta verified tag. This could make paying for Meta Verified, which costs USD 11.99 on the web or USD 14.99 in an app, a more attractive proposition for businesses and creators who want to be seen by more people.

The service is similar to a feature announced by X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month, by enabling which, individuals (whether their account is verified or not) can choose to receive replies on their posts only from verified handles.

Meta started testing the program in Australia and New Zealand, then expanded it to the US and businesses. It was then launched in the United Kingdom, Canada, India, and most markets around the world in the spring of 2023.

وقال آدم موسيري رئيس شركة /إنستغرام/: “نحن نستكشف هذا كأداة تحكم جديدة للأشخاص وطريقة لاكتشاف الشركات ومنشئي المحتوى”، مضيفا: ” أنه سيظهر خيار التبديل الذي يعرض منشورات المشتركين في خدمة ميتا المأجورة فقط كخيار إلى جانب خياري (المتابعة) و(المفضلة) اللذين يظهران عند النقر على شعار /إنستغرام/ أعلى التطبيق”.

ويمتاز خيار التبديل الجديد في المنصة بأنه ذو أهمية، حيث أن الدفع مقابل خدمة ميتا المأجورة، التي تتوفر مقابل 11.99 دولار أمريكي على الويب أو 14.99 دولار أمريكي في الأجهزة المحمولة يجعل العرض أكثر جاذبية، وذلك لأنه يمنح المستخدمين طريقة جديدة لمحاولة الظهور أكثر في خلاصة /إنستغرام/.

الجدير بالذكر أنه في وقت سابق من العام الجاري، قدمت ميتا خدمتها المأجورة Meta Verified لمستخدمي منصتيها الاجتماعيتين، /فيسبوك/ و/إنستغرام/، وهي تتيح للمشتركين أشياء، مثل: علامة التوثيق الزرقاء، ودعم أفضل للعملاء، بالإضافة إلى حماية من انتحال الشخصية، وبدأت الشركة اختبار الخدمة في أستراليا ونيوزيلندا أولا، ثم جلبتها إلى الولايات المتحدة بعد شهر، وأعلنت في شهر /سبتمبر/ الماضي أن ( Meta Verified ) ستكون متاحة لحسابات الأعمال.
