Bloomberg: 4 Clubs on Qatar’s Radar After Withdrawing from Manchester United Takeover

Doha: Bloomberg has reported that the Qatari investment group’s decision to withdraw from the Manchester United acquisition does not mean they are stopping their investments in the sports sector. Qatar is now focusing on four clubs in the English, Spanish, and Italian leagues for potential investments.
Bloomberg suggests that the English club Tottenham could capture the interest of Qatari investors, either through the “Qatar Sports Investments” company or individual investors.
As per the report, Qatar Sports Investments is looking to acquire Spain’s Malaga, despite the club’s recent poor performance that led to their relegation to the third division.
The British newspaper, Mirror, mentions that Qatar is eyeing an acquisition of Brazil’s Santos, and negotiations are already in progress. Qatar has asked the club’s president, Andres Rueda, to review the club’s financial records in preparation for the deal.
Qatar Sports Investments is also in discussions to acquire a stake in Italy’s Sampdoria, as reported by Agence France-Presse in May of the previous year.

ووفقًا لبلومبرج، فإن نادي توتنهام الإنجليزي لفت انتباه المستثمرين القطريين، سواء من خلال “شركة قطر للاستثمارات الرياضية” أو مستثمرين أفراد.
وكما هو موجود في التقرير، أبدت قطر للاستثمارات الرياضية اهتمامًا بالاستحواذ على نادي ملقا الإسباني. ومع ذلك، انخفض أداء النادي مؤخرًا، مما أدى إلى هبوطه إلى الدرجة الثالثة.
تؤكد صحيفة ميرور البريطانية أن قطر تسعى بجدية للاستحواذ على نادي سانتوس البرازيلي، وأن هناك مفاوضات جارية بالفعل. وقد طلبت قطر من رئيس النادي، أندريس رويدا، إجراء تقييم مالي للنادي استعدادًا لإبرام صفقة محتملة.
بالإضافة إلى هذه الجهود، فإن “قطر للاستثمارات الرياضية” مشغولة حاليًا في مفاوضات بشأن شراء حصة في نادي سامبدوريا الإيطالي، كما أفادت وكالة فرانس برس في مايو من العام الماضي.
