QDB Says Current National Guarantee Program Beneficiaries Could Transfer Partner Bank Credit Facilities to QDB Financing Portfolio

Doha: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) announced that current National Guarantee Program beneficiaries are now able to request to transfer their credit facilities from their current banks to QDB’s financing portfolio.
This move aims to stimulate the private sector’s economic sustainability, grow and develop the business sector, and support Qatari companies.
QDB will provide current beneficiaries of the program, launched in 2020 to address the COVID-19 pandemic, the opportunity to refinance the remainder of their credit facilities granted by partner banks and to transfer them to QDB’s financing portfolio with easy and under flexible terms and conditions to be repaid to ensure the continuity of beneficiaries’ business and improve their financial flows.
Current beneficiaries will be able to submit a transfer request to their current banks according to the announced conditions from October 10 until February 10, during which the transfer process will take place, creating their new QDB accounts with a payment plan of up to 5 years, including a grace period of up to one year, and a profit rate of one percent.
QDB CEO Abdulrahman Hesham Al Sowaidi said that the objective behind refinancing the National Guarantee Program’s credit facilities with ease and flexibility is primarily to support the private sector, enhance the sector’s businesses, and strengthen companies’ financial sustainability by enabling them to transfer to QDB’s financial portfolio. He added that this move is to reaffirm the continuous support for the private sector and entrepreneurs, reflecting the State of Qatar’s attention and diligent follow-up to develop the national economy and ensure its sustainability.
Al Sowaidi thanked all National Guarantee Program partner banks.
QDB has worked to develop and update the National Guarantee Program several times since its launch, taking into account the changing needs of the private sector and the nature of continuous change in the national and global economic landscape. The program has proven its success in providing its services to more than 4,200 companies, with the total value of guarantees issued reaching QR 3.6 billion.

الدوحة: أعلن بنك قطر للتنمية عن إمكانية المستفيدين الحاليين من برنامج /الضمانات/ الوطني، طلب نقل تسهيلاتهم الائتمانية من بنوكهم الحالية إلى محفظته التمويلية، وذلك بهدف تحفيز الاستدامة الاقتصادية للقطاع الخاص، والمساهمة في تنمية وتطوير قطاع الأعمال، وكذلك دعم الشركات القطرية.
وسيتيح البنك للمستفيدين الحاليين من البرنامج -الذي أطلق في عام 2020 للتصدي لجائحة كورونا/كوفيد – 19/ فرصة إعادة تمويل المتبقي من أصل التسهيلات الممنوحة لهم من قبل البنوك الشريكة، ونقلها لمحفظته، بشروط وأحكام ميسرة ومرنة للسداد، وذلك لضمان استمرارية أعمالهم، وتحسين تدفقاتهم المالية.
وسيتمكن المستفيدون الحاليون من تقديم طلب النقل إلى بنوكهم الحالية، حسب الشروط المعلن عنها، اعتبارًا من 10 أكتوبر الجاري، حتّى تاريخ إغلاق نافذة التقديم، في 10 فبراير المقبل، حيث ستتم خلال هذه الفترة عملية النقل، وإنشاء حساباتهم الجديدة في بنك قطر للتنمية، الذي سيمنحهم خطة سداد، تصل لـ5 سنوات، تشمل فترة سماح تصل لمدة سنة، وبمعدل ربح نسبته واحد بالمئة.
وقال السيد عبدالرحمن بن هشام السويدي، الرئيس التنفيذي للبنك :إن غايتنا من إعادة تمويل التسهيلات الائتمانية الخاصة بالبرنامج بشكل ميسر هي في الأساس لدعم القطاع الخاص، وتنمية أعماله، وتعزيز الاستدامة المالية للشركات العاملة من خلال منحهم خيار النقل إلى محفظة بنك قطر للتنمية، وتأتي لتأكيد الدعم المستمر للقطاع ورواد الأعمال، وتترجم ما توليه دولة قطر من اهتمام ومتابعة حثيثة لتنمية الاقتصاد الوطني، وضمان استدامته.
وشكر السويدي كافة البنوك الشريكة، التي ساهمت في هذا البرنامج، منذ إطلاقه خلال فترة الجائحة.
يذكر أن بنك قطر للتنمية قد عمل على تطوير وتحديث برنامج /الضمانات/ الوطني عدة مرات منذ تأسيسه، آخذاً بعين الاعتبار احتياجات القطاع الخاص المتغيرة وطبيعة التغير المستمر للمشهد الاقتصادي الوطني والعالمي، وقد أثبت البرنامج نجاحه بتقديم خدماته لأكثر من 4 آلاف و200 شركة، حيث بلغ إجمالي قيمة الضمانات المصدرة 3 مليارات و600 مليون ريال.
