Washington: Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, announced the start of testing chatbots based on artificial intelligence (AI) in its services, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is testing the integration of an intelligent personal assistant into its instant messaging services.

During the recent Meta Connect 2023 conference, Meta presented the mechanism for integrating chatbots that work based on AI models into WhatsApp and Messenger and the use experience seems close to similar tools currently available, as these robots will provide the ability to answer various questions, in addition to helping users with some tasks, such as planning a trip.

The personal assistant from Meta will provide the ability to generate images such as MidJourney and DALL-E from OpenAI, and the new tools from Meta are based on its generative AI model known as Llama 2.

The company explained that it will make chatbots available in its various services for free to all users and will provide several robots dedicated to famous personalities and specific tasks, such as a smart travel assistant.

Other platforms, such as Snapchat, have added to their users the ability to use an intelligent personal assistant based on AI, called My AI, which was made available by the platform based on the GPT-4 model from OpenAI, the same model behind the famous ChatGPT.

واشنطن: أعلنت شركة ميتا المالكة لموقعي فيسبوك وإنستغرام للتواصل الاجتماعي عن بدء اختبار روبوتات الدردشة المستندة إلى الذكاء الاصطناعي في عدد من خدماتها، مثل واتساب وماسنجر وإنستغرام.

وقال مارك زوكربيرج، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ميتا: “إن الشركة تختبر إدماج مساعد شخصي ذكي في خدمات المراسلة الفورية لديها”.

وعرضت ميتا خلال مؤتمرها الأخير Connect 2023 آلية إدماج روبوتات الدردشة التي تعمل بناء على نماذج الذكاء الاصطناعي في واتساب وماسنجر، وتبدو تجربة الاستخدام قريبة من الأدوات المشابهة المتاحة حاليا، حيث ستوفر تلك الروبوتات إمكانية الإجابة عن الأسئلة المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى مساعدة المستخدمين في بعض المهام، مثل التخطيط لرحلة.

وسيتيح المساعد الشخصي من ميتا إمكانية توليد الصور، مثل أداة (Midjourney) ونموذج (DALL-E) من شركة أوبن إيه آي (OpenAI)، وتعتمد الأدوات الجديدة من ميتا على نموذج الذكاء الاصطناعي التوليدي الخاص بها، الذي يعرف اختصارا باسم ( Llama 2).

وأوضحت الشركة إنها ستتيح روبوتات الدردشة في خدماتها المختلفة بشكل مجاني لكافة المستخدمين، وستوفر عددا من الروبوتات المخصصة لشخصيات مشهورة، ومهام محددة، مثل مساعد السفر الذكي.

وكانت منصات أخرى مثل سناب شات قد أضافت لمستخدميها إمكانية استخدام مساعد شخصي ذكي معتمد على الذكاء الاصطناعي، وهو روبوت (My AI) الذي أتاحته المنصة استنادا إلى نموذج (GPT-4) من شركة (OpenAI)، وهو النموذج نفسه الذي يقف وراء روبوت شات جي بي تي (ChatGPT) الشهير.
