QU Announces 2nd Edition of of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Excellence Award for Startups

Doha: The Center for Entrepreneurship & Organizational Excellence (CEOE) at Qatar University (QU) has launched the 2nd edition of innovation, entrepreneurship, and excellence award for startups.
The award aims to pay tribute and encourage the talented owners of Qatari and regional startups, teaching staff, as well as excelled students of QU, in addition to bolstering innovation and caring for budding entrepreneurs.

The edition of this award featured a host of honorees in quest of paying tribute to various accomplishments of startups, as this year edition includes businessman award, best businesswoman award, social entrepreneur award, best startup award, as well as awards for best companies in fintech, education technology and health technology.

The awards include an award for best startup in e-commerce, best startup in green technology regionally, award for best startup in deep tech regionally and award for studying special case for researchers from teaching staff and students.

In addition, QU called on entrepreneurs and startups in Qatar and the region to submit their applications, adding that a jury committee consisting of experts in industry and academics will embark on evaluating the submitted applications based on innovation, inferentiality, scalability, and growth potential.

الدوحة: أطلق مركز الريادة والتميز المؤسسي بكلية الإدارة والاقتصاد بجامعة قطر النسخة الثانية من جائزة ريادة الأعمال والابتكار والتميز للشركات الناشئة.

وتهدف الجائزة إلى تكريم وتشجيع المبدعين أصحاب الشركات الناشئة القطرية والإقليمية وأعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلبة جامعة قطر المتميزين، ولتعزيز الابتكار ورعاية رواد الأعمال الناشئين.

وتميزت هذه النسخة من الجائزة بمجموعة موسعة من الفئات المكرمة وذلك للاحتفاء بالإنجازات المتنوعة للشركات الناشئة، حيث تشمل جائزة رجل أعمال هذا العام، وجائزة أفضل سيدة أعمال، وجائزة رائد الأعمال الاجتماعي، وجائزة أفضل شركة ناشئة، إلى جانب جوائز لأفضل الشركات في مجالات التكنولوجيا المالية، وتكنولوجيا التعليم، والتكنولوجيا الصحية.

كما تشمل الجوائز جائزة أفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال التجارة الإلكترونية، وأفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال التكنولوجيا الخضراء (إقليميا)، وجائزة أفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال التكنولوجيا العميقة (إقليميا)، وجائزة دراسة حالة مخصصة للباحثين من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب.

ودعت جامعة قطر رواد الأعمال والشركات الناشئة في قطر والمنطقة إلى تقديم طلباتهم “حيث ستقوم لجنة تحكيم تضم خبراء في الصناعة وأكاديميين، بتقييم الطلبات المقدمة بناء على الابتكار والتأثير وقابلية التوسع وإمكانات النمو”.

وأشارت الجامعة إلى أنه يمكن لرواد الأعمال والشركات الناشئة المهتمين تقديم مشاركاتهم للتنافس على الجائزة في نسختها الثانية على الموقع الرسمي للجائزة http://qatarentrepreneurshipawards.com/.
