Ministry of Labor Launches E-service for Amending Occupations on Work Permits

Doha: The Ministry of Labor has unveiled a digital service for amending occupations under a general permit, allowing employers to apply for job changes on behalf of their employees. This process can now be processed without requiring a visit to the Ministry’s main office or its branch locations.

The launch of the new services aligns with the Ministry of Labor’s strategy to develop the digital infrastructure for the labor sector in a way that contributes to facilitating and streamlining the services provided to those dealing with the Ministry.

The new service allows employers to modify the occupations/ professions of their employees with a valid work permit, and to inquire about the status of their application, in addition to allowing a direct progression to the attestation system for contracts between the employer and the employee and export information about the modified occupation to the Ministry of Interior.

The Ministry of Labor aims to streamline processes by eliminating the necessity of visiting the Ministry’s main or service offices and submitting physical paperwork. They are doing this by offering comprehensive online services that are easily accessible to everyone in the labor market interacting with the Ministry.

The Digital Transformation Team within the Ministry of Labor focuses on enhancing and updating electronic services using the “Agile” engineering approach.

This method allows for the rollout of new services and regular updates every month.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة العمل عن إطلاق خدمة “تعديل مهنة ترخيص عام” إلكترونيا من خلال إعطاء الصلاحية لأصحاب العمل تقديم طلبات تعديل المهنة للموظفين لديهم، واستكمال إجراء تعديل المهنة دون الحاجة لمراجعة مبنى الوزارة أو المكاتب الخارجية.

ويأتي تدشين الخدمة الجديدة ضمن استراتيجية وزارة العمل في تطوير البنية التحتية الإلكترونية لقطاع العمل، بما يسهم في تسهيل وتيسير الخدمات المقدمة للمتعاملين مع الوزارة.

وتتيح الخدمة الجديدة لأصحاب العمل تعديل مهنة موظفيهم بتصريح عمل ساري المفعول، والاستعلام عن حالة طلبهم، بالإضافة إلى السماح بالربط المباشر مع نظام التوثيق للتصديق على العقد الجديد بين صاحب العمل والموظف، وتصدير المعلومات بالمهنة المعدلة إلى وزارة الداخلية.

وتسعى وزارة العمل إلى الوصول لمعاملات سلسة دون الحاجة إلى مراجعة مبنى الوزارة أو مكاتب الخدمات أو تقديم المستندات الورقية، من خلال توفير خدمات إلكترونية شاملة يسهل الوصول إليها من قبل جميع المتعاملين مع الوزارة من سوق العمل.

وتعمل وحدة إدارة التحول الرقمي بوزارة العمل على تطوير وتحديث الخدمات والمعاملات الإلكترونية من خلال الاعتماد على منهجية الهندسة الرشيقة “أجايل”، التي تتيح القدرة على إطلاق الخدمات والتحديثات الجديدة على أساس شهري.
