Doha: The Ministry of Finance announced yesterday that Qatar’s budget for the second quarter of 2023 has recorded a surplus of QR10 billion.
In their report on Qatar’s budget data for Q2 2023, the ministry stated that this surplus will be utilized in accordance with the nation’s financial policies. It will be directed towards reducing public debt, bolstering the reserves of the Qatar Central Bank, and enhancing the savings for future generations through the Qatar Investment Authority.
During this quarter, the total revenues reached QR68.4 billion, which is a 0.3 percent decrease from the previous quarter. Non-oil revenues amounted to QR28.2 billion, marking a 2.2 percent increase compared to Q1.
Total expenditures for Q2 2023 amounted to QR58.4 billion, representing a significant 19.3 percent increase compared to Q1. Salaries and wages increased by 12.2 percent when compared to Q1, while major capital expenditures surged by 29.1 percent.
The non-oil sector has returned to its normal levels after experiencing significant growth in the fourth quarter of 2022, largely due to events related to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This sector continued to grow thanks to the positive momentum generated by this major sporting event.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة المالية أمس أن ميزانية البلاد للربع الثاني من عام 2023 سجلت فائضًا بقيمة 10 مليار ريال قطري.
وفي تقريرها حول بيانات ميزانية قطر في الربع الثاني (Q2) من عام 2023، أشارت الوزارة إلى أن هذا الفائض سيتم استخدامه وفقًا لسياسات البلاد المالية، حيث سيتجه نحو تقليل الدين العام وزيادة احتياطات مصرف قطر المركزي، وتعزيز التوفير للأجيال القادمة من خلال هيئة استثمار قطر.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن إجمالي الإيرادات لهذا الربع بلغ 68.4 مليار ريال قطري، وهو انخفاض بنسبة 0.3 في المائة مقارنة بالربع السابق، حيث بلغت إيرادات القطاع غير النفطي 28.2 مليار ريال قطري، مسجلة زيادة بنسبة 2.2 في المائة مقارنة بالربع الأول.
وبلغت الإنفاق الإجمالي في الربع الثاني من عام 2023 مبلغ 58.4 مليار ريال قطري، مما يمثل زيادة كبيرة بنسبة 19.3 في المائة مقارنة بالربع الأول. وشهدت الرواتب والأجور زيادة بنسبة 12.2 في المائة مقارنة بالربع الأول، في حين ارتفعت الإنفاقات الرأسمالية الكبيرة بنسبة 29.1 في المائة.
عاد القطاع غير النفطي إلى مستوياته العادية بعد أن شهد نموًا كبيرًا في الربع الرابع من عام 2022 نتيجة لأحداث تتعلق بكأس العالم لكرة القدم في قطر 2022. واستمر هذا القطاع في النمو نتيجة للزخم الإيجابي الذي نجم عن هذا الحدث الرياضي الكبير.
