Doha: The Turkish newspaper “Hürriyet” reported that Qatar Post has acquired a 40% stake in the well-known Turkish e-commerce platform “Turkish Souq.”
“Turkish Souq” serves as a global e-commerce hub, offering consumers a wide selection of high-quality products from leading brands at competitive prices.
This platform is particularly vital for small and medium-sized businesses aiming to tap into global markets. It offers an extensive range of products, including furniture, clothing, sports equipment, and beauty products.
Established in 2018 as a collaboration between the Turkish postal service PTT and Qatar Post, “Turkish Souq” currently features around 300,000 products delivered to over 50 countries worldwide.
Although the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, Turkey’s Minister of Treasury and Finance, Berat Albayrak, emphasized the flourishing economic ties between Turkey and Gulf countries.
This deal follows Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s diplomatic visit to Qatar, which led to increased bilateral cooperation through signed agreements and exchanged documents spanning various sectors.
The trip was part of a broader Gulf tour that encompassed three countries, involving diplomatic engagements in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to attract investments from the region.
Among the already announced agreements is a significant deal for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) signed with the Turkish defense company Baykar in Saudi Arabia.
Erdoğan’s tour culminated in Qatar, where a joint declaration was formulated with Doha. Additionally, almost 100 documents were exchanged to reinforce bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors.

على الرغم من عدم الكشف عن التفاصيل المالية للصفقة، أشار وزير الخزانة والمالية التركي، بيرات ألباييراك، إلى العلاقات الاقتصادية المزدهرة بين تركيا ودول الخليج.
تأتي هذه الصفقة بعد الزيارة الدبلوماسية للرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان إلى قطر، حيث تم تعزيز التعاون الثنائي من خلال توقيع اتفاقيات وتبادل وثائق في مختلف القطاعات.
كانت هذه الجولة جزءًا من جولة خليجية أوسع شملت ثلاث دول، وقد شملت محطات دبلوماسية أيضًا في المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة لجذب الاستثمارات من المنطقة.
من بين الصفقات التي تم الإعلان عنها بالفعل اتفاقية مهمة لشراء طائرات بدون طيار تم توقيعها مع شركة الدفاع التركية بايكار في المملكة العربية السعودية.
انتهت جولة الرئيس أردوغان في قطر حيث تم صياغة إعلان مشترك مع الدوحة، بالإضافة إلى تبادل ما يقرب من 100 وثيقة لتعزيز التعاون الثنائي عبر مختلف القطاعات.
