Qatar-based firms named among best workplaces list

Doha: Great Place to Work recently announced the list of best workplaces in the Middle East, which included Qatar-based companies such as Shift and McDonald’s by Al Mana Restaurants and Food Co.
The international research, training, and consultancy company named over 70 businesses across all sectors in the GCC.
“We are incredibly proud of the Qatari companies that have been recognised as the Best Workplaces in the Middle East List,” Lamees ElZeghaty, Regional Lists and Certifications Manager of Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Great Place to Work Middle East, told The Peninsula.
She asserted that the firms attained momentum due to the commitment of the workers and the culture embraced within the organisation.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of their employees, whose feedback and contributions have helped shape a positive and engaging work culture,” ElZeghaty said.
She further added that “By prioritising the well-being and satisfaction of their employees, these companies have set a high standard for workplace excellence.”
During the past years, Qatar-based companies surpassed industry standards, going above and beyond to create workplaces that prioritize employee satisfaction and well-being, leading to increased productivity, creativity, and overall success.
Commenting on this year’s Best Workplaces in the Middle East list, Jules Youssef, Managing Director for Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, Great Place to Work Middle East, said: “This announcement and recognition of the Best Workplaces in the Middle East for the year 2023 will undoubtedly inspire other organisations to strive for excellence in their respective industries.”
The official underscored that keeping pace with workers’ requirements and standards will lead the companies toward exceptional accomplishment in the years ahead.
He said: “It serves as a reminder that prioritising employees’ needs and fostering a work-life balance can lead to remarkable business growth and success.”
Among companies that also operate in Qatar that took a place in the large category winners’ list include DHL Express, The One, Hilton, Shoe Mart, Ajmal Perfumes Group, Globelink West Star Shipping, Babyshop and Hilti. On the other hand, Qatar-operating firms such as Leminar, Cisco, PetroGas, and EMAX were named in the Medium category winners list. Meanwhile, in the small category, Blue Ocean Academy was also among the winner’s list.

الدوحة: بلغت شركة “جريت بليس تو ورك” مؤخرًا عن قائمة أفضل أماكن عمل في الشرق الأوسط، والتي شملت شركات مقرها في قطر مثل شركة “شفت” و”ماكدونالدز” التابعة لشركة المانع للمطاعم والأغذية.
وقد أسمت هذه الشركة الدولية المتخصصة في البحث والتدريب والاستشارات أكثر من 70 شركة في جميع القطاعات في مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
قالت لميس الزغاتي، مديرة القوائم والشهادات الإقليمية لدول قطر وعمان والكويت والبحرين والإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة العربية السعودية في “جريت بليس تو ورك” الشرق الأوسط: “نحن فخورون بشكل لا يصدق بالشركات القطرية التي تم التعرف عليها كأفضل أماكن عمل في قائمة الشرق الأوسط”.
وأكدت أن هذه الشركات حققت زخمًا بسبب التزام العمال والثقافة التي اعتمدتها المنظمة.
وقالت: “إن هذا الإنجاز يشهد على العمل الجاد والتفاني من قبل موظفيهم، الذين ساهمت ملاحظاتهم ومساهماتهم في تشكيل ثقافة عمل إيجابية وجذابة”.
وأضافت أنه من خلال إعطاء أولوية لرفاهية ورضا موظفيها، قامت هذه الشركات بتعيين معايير عالية للتميز في مكان العمل.
وخلال السنوات السابقة، تجاوزت الشركات المقرة في قطر معايير الصناعة، وذهبت إلى ما هو أبعد من ذلك لإنشاء أماكن عمل تعطي الأولوية لرضا ورفاهية الموظفين، مما أدى إلى زيادة الإنتاجية والإبداع والنجاح العام.
وعلق جولس يوسف، المدير الإقليمي لدول قطر وعمان والكويت والبحرين في “جريت بليس تو ورك” الشرق الأوسط، على قائمة أفضل أماكن العمل في الشرق الأوسط لهذا العام قائلاً: “سيكون هذا الإعلان وهذا التقدير لأفضل أماكن العمل في الشرق الأوسط لعام 2023 مصدر إلهام بالتأكيد للمؤسسات الأخرى لتسعى نحو التميز في صناعاتها المختلفة”.
وشدد المسؤول على أن مواكبة متطلبات ومعايير العمال ستقود الشركات نحو إنجاز استثنائي في السنوات المقبلة.
وقال: “إن إعطاء الأولوية لاحتياجات الموظفين وتعزيز التوازن بين العمل والحياة يمكن أن يقود إلى نمو ونجاح ملحوظ في الأعمال”.
ومن بين الشركات التي تعمل أيضًا في قطر والتي حصلت على مكان في قائمة الفائزين في الفئة الكبيرة تشمل “دي إتش إل إكسبريس”، و”ذا ون”، و”هيلتون”، و”شو مارت”، و”مجموعة عجمل للعطور”، و”جلوبلينك ويست ستار شيبينغ”، و”بيبي شوب”، و”هيلتي”. ومن ناحية أخرى، تم تسمية الشركات التي تعمل في قطر مثل “ليمينار”، و”سيسكو”، و”بتروغاز”، و”إيماكس” في قائمة الفائزين في الفئة المتوسطة. وفي الفئة الصغيرة، كانت “أكاديمية الأوشن الأزرق” أيضًا ضمن قائمة الفائزين.
