PHCC taking all measures to keep health centres safe

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) confirmed that it is taking all preventive measures that guarantee the safety of its health centers and avoid the risks of transmission of the virus (COVID-19).
The PHCC indicated that it had recently noticed a decrease in the number of visitors who, the Corporation believes, are late in seeking advice and health care as a result of their concerns related to the spread of COVID-19.
The PHCC reassured all visitors that it had worked to tighten its strict measures to prevent the spread of the disease in all of its 27 health centers across the country.
These integrated measures aim to ensure the maintenance of the safety of health facilities so that people have access to health care services with high reliability.
The measures taken by the PHCC include a new model for scheduling personal appointments, and measures aimed at ensuring a logical number of patients visiting the centers at the same time as visits to the centers are prohibited in order to reduce the numbers of people in clinics during one time, thus reducing the risk of infection spread among patients, visitors and centers staff.
Prior to entering the PHC facilities, patients and visitors are examined to check for symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulties, and their temperature is measured remotely using infrared thermometers, and all visitors are required to wear masks and use a hand sanitizer that is provided at the entrances, and in various locations around the buildings.
PHCC has put in all health centers lines and signs on the ground that have been redesigned to enhance the measures of social distancing, A strict sterilization procedures have been adopted throughout the PHCC facilities and within the shared spaces, including waiting rooms, lobbies, and toilets, where they are regularly cleaned and sterilized using sterile spray, in addition to cleaning and sterilizing examination rooms after patient visits for consultation or medical treatment.
Patients suspected of COVID-19 disease are isolated inside facilities in designated areas, while remaining under constant medical supervision during their stay that lasts for the minimum period permitted by safety measures.
The Primary Health Care Corporation stressed the need for community members to ensure access to health care when they need it without any delay associated with the spread of the pandemic, as delays in accessing health care services can endanger their health in the long run.
PHCC stressed that it is making unremitting efforts to ensure that the risks of transmission are avoided, and at the same time, visitors should put their concerns aside and focus on their long-term health safety in the first place.

أكدت مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية أنها تتخذ كافة الإجراءات والتدابير الوقائية التي تضمن سلامة مراكزها الصحية وتجنّب مخاطر انتقال عدوى فيروس «كوفيد – 19».
وأشارت مؤسسة الرعاية الأولية إلى أنها لاحظت في الفترة الأخيرة انخفاض أعداد المراجعين والذين تعتقد المؤسسة بأنهم يتأخرون عن طلب المشورة والعناية الصحية نتيجة لمخاوفهم المرتبطة بانتشار عدوى الإصابة بفيروس «كوفيد – 19».
وطمأنت مؤسسة الرعاية كافة المراجعين بأنها عملت على تشديد تدابيرها الصارمة الرامية لمنع انتشار المرض في جميع مراكزها الصحية الـ 27 المنتشرة في مختلف أنحاء الدولة.
وأوضحت أن هذه التدابير المتكاملة تهدف إلى ضمان الحفاظ على سلامة المرافق الصحية، بما يتيح للناس الحصول على خدمات الرعاية الصحية بموثوقية عالية.
وتتضمن التدابير التي اتخذتها المؤسسة نموذجاً جديداً لجدولة المواعيد الشخصية، وإجراءات تهدف إلى ضمان زيارة عدد منطقي من المرضى للمراكز في وقت واحد، حيث تمنع الزيارات إلى المراكز بغية خفض أعداد الناس المتواجدين في العيادات خلال وقت واحد، وبالتالي تقليص مخاطر انتشار العدوى بين المرضى والزوار وموظفي المراكز.
كما يتم قبل الدخول إلى مرافق مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية فحص المرضى والزوار للكشف عن أعراض الحمى والسعال وصعوبات التنفس، ويتم قياس درجة حرارتهم عن بعد باستخدام أجهزة قياس الحرارة بالأشعة تحت الحمراء، كما يطلب من جميع الزوار ارتداء الكمامات واستخدام معقم اليدين الذي يتم توفيره في المداخل والمواقع المختلفة في جميع أنحاء المباني.
ووضعت المؤسسة في جميع المراكز الصحية خطوطاً وعلامات على الأرض تمت إعادة تصميمها لتعزيز إجراءات التباعد الاجتماعي، كما تم اعتماد إجراءات تنظيف وتعقيم شديدة الصرامة في جميع أنحاء مرافق مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية.
وشددت مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية على ضرورة أن يحرص أفراد المجتمع على الحصول على الرعاية الصحية عند حاجتهم إليها دون أي تأخير يرتبط بانتشار الجائحة، إذ من الممكن أن يؤدي التأخر في الحصول على خدمات الرعاية الصحية إلى تعريض صحتهم للخطر على المدى الطويل.
