Dr Al-Khal: Promising results for “Remdesivir” And we are waiting for date of its introduction to provide it in Qatar
د. الخال: نتائج مبشرة لـ“ريدميسيفير”.. وننتظر موعد طرحه لتوفيره في قطر

Dr. Abdullatif Al-Khal, Chairman of the National Strategic Committee for The Response to Coronavirus of the Ministry of Public Health, said that the results of the new U.S. drug “Redmissivir”, which is given intravenously, have been tried on many infected in the United States and showed good results, including reducing the healing time from 15 to 11 days only as well as reducing the number of deaths, pointing to waiting for more results and details of these trials and the appropriate time to put the drug on the market so that it is available to patients in Qatar.
Dr. Al-Khal revealed in statements to “@covid19qatar”, an account concerned with the news of the coronavirus that many drugs are used to treat people with (Coved-19) in Qatar but are given only for cases that call for it and suffer from severe symptoms such as high temperature and difficulty in breathing or inflammation of the lungs where the patient is given medications including “hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and other drugs to alleviate the symptoms and help with the healing.
Dr. Al-Khal attributed the increase in the number of people infected with Coronavirus in Qatar compared to other countries to the fact that Qatar has investigated and examined all cases associated with infected cases, and therefore the Ministry of Health is sending medical teams to their places of work and residence and examining all, resulting in detection of more cases that do not show symptoms of the disease, which, if stayed amongst the community, would spread the virus further.
Dr. Al-Khal expressed his concerns about the increase of Coronavirus cases (Covid-19) in the past few days calling on all community members to stay home and only go out if necessary and maintain social distancing and safe distance and wear medical face masks and sterilisation especially after shopping in complexes and hypermarkets.

قال الدكتور عبداللطيف الخال رئيس اللجنة الوطنية الاستراتيجية للتصدي لفيروس كورونا التابعة لوزارة الصحة العامة إن نتائج الدواء الأميركي الجديد “ريدميسيفير” والذي يعطى بالوريد مبشرة حيث تمت تجربته على العديد من المصابين في الولايات المتحدة وأظهر نتائج جيدة منها تقليل مدة الشفاء من 15 إلى 11 يوم فقط إلى جانب تقليل عدد حالات الوفاة مشيرا إلى انتظار المزيد من النتائج والتفاصيل عن هذه التجارب والوقت المناسب لطرح هذا الدواء في الأسواق حتى يتم توفيره للمرضى في دولة قطر.
وكشف الدكتور الخال في تصريحات لحساب “@covid19qatar” المعني بأخبار فيروس كورونا عن استخدام العديد من الأدوية لعلاج المصابين بـ (كوفيد-19) في قطر لكن لا يتم إعطائها إلا للحالات التي تستدعي ذلك والتي تعاني من أعراض شديدة مثل ارتفاع في درجة الحرارة وصعوبة في التنفسأو وجود إلتهاب في الرئتين حيث تعطى للمريض أدوية منها “هيدروكسي كلوروكين وأزيثروميسين وأدوية أخرى لتخفيف حدة الإصابة والمساعدة في التشافي.
وأرجع الدكتور الخال ارتفاع عدد المصابين بفيروس كورونا في دولة قطر مقارنة بدول أخرى إلى قيام دولة قطر باستقصاء وفحص جميع الحالات المخالطة للحالات المصابة وعليه تقوم وزارة الصحة بإرسال فرق طبية لأماكن عملهم وسكنهم وفحص الجميع ما ينتج عنه اكتشاف المزيد من الحالات التي لا تبدو عليها أعراض المرض والتي لو تُرِكت في المجتمع لنشرت الفيروس بشكل أكبر.
وعبر الدكتور الخال عن قلقه جراء تزايد عدد الإصابات بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية داعيا جميع أفراد المجتمع إلى التزام المنازل وعدم الخروج إلا للضرورة والالتزام بالتباعد الاجتماعي وترك مسافة كافية وارتداء الكمامات والتعقيم خاصة عند القيام بعملية التسوق من الجمعيات والهايبر ماركت.
