MoPH warns against ads for immuno-boosting drugs

Ministry of Public Health has warned all private health facilities in the country not to advertise products that will contribute to strengthening immunity through supplements such as vitamins, herbs or others that have not been scientifically proven.
The Ministry said in a circular that “alRaya” got a copy of that as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus Coved-19, It has been noted that there is a large spread of misleading advertisements that would convey the existence of a cure for the virus through strengthening the immune system with vitamins and supplements.
It stressed that it is strictly forbidden to advertise such products in any social media medium print, audio or visual media and those who do not abide, legal action would be taken against them.
On the other hand, the Ministry announced that as part of the precautionary and preventive measures against Coronavirus, applications for birth certificates for new-borns will be received after obtaining an advance appointment starting on Sunday and in accordance with the recommended health precautionary regulations.
The Ministry pointed out that reviewers can obtain pre-appointments by contacting licensed birth registration offices in government and private hospitals from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., explaining that the birth certificate offices are located in the Center for Women’s Health and Research, The National Hospital, Sidra Medicine, Al Wakra Hospital and Al Khor Hospital.
The Ministry pointed out that there are several regulations that the reviewers must abide by to obtain the service, namely obtaining a prior appointment with the need to adhere to the time limit for each reviewer and in case of non-compliance with the time the reference slot will be cancelled and in this case he/she must obtain a new date.
It continued: The regulations also include filling out a notification form and registering a child in blue (attached to the form) before coming to submit certificates according to the time set for each reviewer, and attaching all required documents such as photo copies of personal cards, marriage contract photo, vaccination card and a copy of it, and live birth report form for Qatari citizens, for residents, the documents include valid passports for the husband and wife, a photo copy of which is valid, a valid residence or visa for non-residents, a vaccination card, a live birth report form and a copy of the marriage contract.
The regulations also include not allowing the photographing of papers or documents belonging to reviewers inside the birth registration office.
Last month, the Ministry announced that it would suspend the provision of birth certificate services for new-borns in all licensed government and private hospitals until further notice.

حذرت وزارة الصحة العامة جميع المنشآت الصحية الخاصة بالدولة من الإعلان عن منتجات من شأنها أن تسهم في تقوية المناعة من خلال المكملات الغذائية مثل الفيتامينات أو الأعشاب أو غيرها التي لم تثبت علمياً صحتها.
وقالت الوزارة في تعميم لها حصلت الراية على نسخة منه إنه في إطار الجهود المبذولة من وزارة الصحة العامة للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا كوفيد -19 فقد لوحظ أن هناك انتشاراً كبيراً للإعلانات المضللة والتي من شأنها الاعتقاد بوجود علاج للفيروس وذلك من خلال تقوية جهاز المناعة بالفيتامينات والمكملات الغذائية.
وأكدت أنه يمنع منعاً باتاً الإعلان عن تلك المنتجات في أي وسيلة من وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي المقروءة أو المسموعة أو المرئية ومن يُخالف ذلك سوف يتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية ضده.
من جهة أخرى أعلنت الوزارة أنه في إطار الإجراءات والتدابير الاحترازية للوقاية من فيروس كورونا، فإنه سيتم استقبال طلبات إصدار شهادات الميلاد للمواليد الجدد بعد الحصول على موعد مسبق وذلك بدءاً من اليوم الأحد وحسب الضوابط الاحترازية الصحية الموصى بها.
ولفتت الوزارة إلى أنه يمكن للمُراجعين الحصول على المواعيد المُسبقة من خلال التواصل مع مكاتب تسجيل المواليد المُرخصة في المستشفيات الحكومية والخاصة من الساعة 9.30 صباحاً حتى الساعة 12.30 ظهراً، موضّحة أن مكاتب إصدار شهادات الميلاد توجد في كل من مركز صحة المرأة والأبحاث، والمستشفى الأهلي، وسدرة للطب، ومستشفى الوكرة ومستشفى الخور.
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن هناك عدة ضوابط يجب أن يلتزم بها المراجعون للحصول على الخدمة وهي الحصول على موعد مُسبق مع ضرورة التقيّد بالوقت المُحدّد لكل مراجع وفي حال عدم الالتزام بالوقت سيتم إلغاء الموعد المُخصّص للمراجع ويتوجب عليه في هذه الحالة الحصول على موعد جديد.
وتابعت: إن الضوابط تشمل أيضاً تعبئة استمارة تبليغ وتسجيل مولود باللون الأزرق (مرفق بالاستمارة) قبل الحضور للتقديم على الشهادات حسب الوقت المُحدّد لكل مراجع، وإرفاق كافة المستندات المطلوبة كصور البطاقات الشخصية وصورة عقد الزواج وبطاقة التطعيم ونسخة منها واستمارة إبلاغ عن مولود حي وذلك بالنسبة للمواطنين القطريين، أما بالنسبة للمقيمين فإن المستندات تتضمّن جوازات السفر سارية المفعول للزوج والزوجة وصورة منها وصورة للإقامة سارية المفعول أو تأشيرة الدخول لغير المقيمين، وبطاقة تطعيم، واستمارة إبلاغ عن مولود حي وصورة من عقد الزواج.
وتتضمّن الضوابط أيضاً عدم السماح بتصوير أوراق أو مستندات تخص المُراجعين داخل مكتب تسجيل المواليد.
وكانت الوزارة قد أعلنت الشهر الماضي وقف تقديم خدمات إصدار شهادات الميلاد للمواليد الجدد في جميع المستشفيات الحكومية والخاصة المُرخّصة حتى إشعار آخر.
